Recall
Reflecting on the storm gander, you remember hearing that although these creatures cannot fly, they make up for it in sheer meanness and pure dumb ferocity. Further thought brings forth another memory of learning that some of the bigger versions can cast spells. Some scholars have speculated that they are a product of a mad warrior mage attempting to make their familiar into a guard animal. Whether they succeeded is not quite clear. More reflection dredges up the fact that unlike normal geese, these have a habit of swallowing shiny and interesting things. Maybe this was something their creator added to their nature to help keep the guarded area clear, but no one has been able to ascertain whether this is the truth.
