Event Log

[Thieves' Guild]
Darkness looms in this damp open cavern, staved off only by a few waning torches. Several dark wood benches have been placed tight against the walls and you smile inwardly at the thought of the guild members protecting their backs in this manner. The sound of running water echoing in the distance is the only decoration that marks this subterranean hall. You also see a sturdy oaken coffer, a small stand with a guild register on it and a large notice tacked to the wall.
Also in the room: Vyrix, Alacron who is seated, Daranjem, Bryarmote, Kinder who is seated, Keidas who is seated, Sabatage, Dermone who is seated, Veleda, Carnwenan who is seated, Edwidge who is seated, Coretan who is seated, Scorpionn who is seated, Entenous, Mosmen who is seated, Xemxo who is seated, Vyze who is seated, Phrixus, Horrorr who is seated, Arravix who is seated, Kalag who is seated.

Edwidge blinks.

Kalag says, "I wish a few...lost."

Edwidge says, "No, I don't think so."
Edwidge shakes his head.

Kalag asks, "A princely sum, is it not?"

Edwidge says, "I be asking 15 platinum coins to do the job. Hazard pay if ya will. Them guards aren't the type to treat a man well if they don't like what he's been doing."

Edwidge says, "Nah nah, not worth it at that, gotta be 12 platinums or I just go back to my desk and we forget the whole thing."

Edwidge says, "I say 12."

Kalag asks, "You wish 12?"
Kalag peers quizzically at Edwidge.
Kalag frowns.

Edwidge says, "12 it is."
Edwidge nods to Kalag.

Edwidge says, "All right then, I'll do it for 10 plat, but not a copper less. Guess they don't call ya the Master of Thieves for nothing, hey Kalag?""
Edwidge gives Kalag a thin smile.
Edwidge says, "I expect it in advance though."

Kalag says, "Very well."

Edwidge says, "Dealing with thieves and all, gotta make sure I get what's mine."

Edwidge says, "Got enough scratches being drug through that smelly hole you call a door."

Alacron asks, "We don't have a guild treasury for situation like this?"

Mistica gives Kalag some coins.

Linstein asks, "What is the issue?"

Kalag says, "This man offers us a chance to clean our crimes from the docket."

Alacron gives Kalag some coins.

A large group made a bank run at this point, and upon returning...

* Uslaya was just struck down!

Jinorang says, "Nice shot Kalag"

You hear the ghostly voice of Uslaya ask, "what did i do?"

Edwidge says, "Not a thing."
Edwidge glances around nervously.

Koader says, "Why'd you pop her off Kalag?"

Kalag hands Edwidge some coins.
Kalag says, "She was stealing despite my requests to stop."
Kalag bows to Edwidge.

Bryarmote holds hands with Edwidge.

Kalag asks, "When may we expect results?"

Bryarmote's group just went northeast.

Spirral asks, "does this mean we will be able to steal for real again?"

Kalag says, "Aye...he says all old charges past 30 will be...lost."
Kalag says, "You have done well, my chidlren."
Kalag says, "Now we shall wait, and see. I expect he will tell us in several hours."
Kalag says, "I had to burn every favor I had ever garnered to even get to the man."

Edwidge stumbles back into the room.
Edwidge says, "Senseless silly thieves."
Edwidge says, "Drag a man off in the middle of his business.'"

Kalag asks, "Edwidge, you have not left yet?"
Kalag says, "I paid you, you silly man."

Edwidge asks, "Dermone here was saying something about showing me out?"

Kalag says, "Go take care of your business."

Edwidge joins Dermone's group.
Edwidge says, "That I'll do Master Thief."

Dermone's group went through a narrow gap.
[The Crossing, Dodgers' Row]
Feet tread the cobbled streets here, booted feet, sandaled feet, armored feet, rag-wrapped feet, all thumping against the pavement and reverberating off the closely-spaced, rundown buildings. In the slimy gutter, along the west curb, a pile of dry straw has been heaped up against a sewer grating. You also see a rickety wooden fence.
Also here: Edwidge, Dermone
Obvious paths: north, south.

Edwidge rubs his nose nervously.
Edwidge says, "You tell your master, it'll be a bit."
Edwidge says, "Not right away mind ya, gotta wait until the guards are all outta the office. But I'll be getting to it."

Dermone asks, "Edwidge should I take you somehwere particular?"

Edwidge says, "Nope, nope, make it out on my own now."

Not long afterward, in the main cavern...
[Thieves' Guild, Cavern Hall]'
Darkness looms in this damp open cavern, staved off only by a few waning torches. Several dark wood benches have been placed tight against the walls and you smile inwardly at the thought of the guild members protecting their backs in this manner. The sound of running water echoing in the distance is the only decoration that marks this subterranean hall. You also see a rotting wooden strongbox, a sturdy oaken coffer, a small stand with a guild register on it and a large notice tacked to the wall.
Also in the room: Vucarick, Bryarmote, Dantir, Jessiem, Klevmor, Jaiteme, Rumblebely, Mistica, Xemxo, Symer, Phrixus, Scorpionn, Ganawein, Keidas, Veleda, Kilikto, Daranjem, Hackard, Vyrix, Koader, Coretan who is kneeling, Nightrhein, Zuljin, Loxeley, Alzak, Carnwenan who is seated, Sabatage, Dmur who is seated, Spirral, Sirious, Nishu, Mosmen, Starglim, Denthrag, Linstein who is seated, Kinder, Entenous, Kalag who is seated

Kalag raises an eyebrow.
Kalag says, "I can explain again, if you wish."
Kalag smiles slightly.
Kalag says, "Very well..."
Kalag says, "Some of you have been caught thieving many times..."
Kalag says, "Some even hundreds."
Kalag says, "Your fines are far too high."

Mosmen says, "Kalag, what do you have planned if Ed doesn't follow through on his half of the deal"

Kalag smiles at Mosmen.
Kalag pats his crossbow.
Kalag says, "I used my...contacts..."
Kalag says, "I used them to get a corrupt town clerk here."
Kalag says, "All charges past the first thirty will, as of...well, as of a few hours from now will be...lost."

Edwidge stumbles in following a burly guard. With a muttered curse he pulls the blindfold from his eyes.

Kalag asks, "Who knows where they will go?"

Edwidge mumbles something under his breath.

Loxeley says, "we thank you kalag"

Edwidge flinches.

Kalag exclaims, "Ah, he returns!"

Edwidge smiles thinly and offers Kalag a rather mocking bow.

Xemxo exclaims, "QUIET EVERYONE!"

Kalag asks, "What may I do for you, Clerk?"

Alacron says, "Well that was certainly expeditious..."

Edwidge says, "Did the job, slick and clean as you could like. Got it all right here."
Edwidge gets a crisp vellum scroll from inside his leather pouch.
Edwidge taps a crisp vellum scroll.
Edwidge glances at the scroll in his hand.

Kalag says, "Ahhh, lovely."
Kalag holds out his hand.
Kalag says, "I will take it now."

Edwidge purses his lips in a prune-like fashion.

Daranjem exclaims, "good work!"

Edwidge seems to be trying to figure out how to turn a crisp vellum scroll.

Kalag asks, "Those are the old records?"

Edwidge says, "Well now...I have been thinking..."
Edwidge glances at Kalag.

Kalag asks, "Yes?"

Edwidge says, "Covered my tracks real well, that I did, but I be thinking. This here scroll is worth more than that measly 10 plats ya thought ya'd pawn me off with."

Kalag raises an eyebrow.

Carnwenan says, "Edwidge, you were paid in full."

Edwidge says, "Got a goodly bit of fines here, maybe worth something to everyone onthe list I'd say. Worth something to the judge too."

Kalag asks, "And just what is it you are saying?"
Kalag leans back.

Edwidge wipes his nose on the cuff of his sleeve.
Edwidge says, "Yes, I imagine the judge be real happy to see it, should I give it to him."
Edwidge whistles tunelessly.
Edwidge says, "Ain't saying I will of course, not if you have, oh, 'bout 50 plats to buy it from me. I think that's fair now. "

Kalag says, "The price was 10 platinum coins, and generous at that."

Edwidge smirks.

Kalag gets a miniature black crossbow from inside his steel-toed boots.
Kalag appears to be aiming at Edwidge with his black crossbow.

Edwidge says, "Course if you don't, I'll just be giving it to the judge and maybe be adding a few more zeros to these here numbers while I be at it."

Kalag says, "Hardly."

Keidas draws forth a gladius.
Vyze slings a balanced light crossbow off from over his shoulder.

Edwidge says, "Nah yer High and Mightiness, no giving me yer sour looks. Yer naught but a petty thief. One whistle from me, I could have ya locked uplike that!""

Edwidge snaps his fingers in Kalag's face.

Alacron says, "My pleasure, m'lord."

Kalag says, "Never...EVER cross the Thieves' Guild."

Vyrix says, "Don't EVER try to extort money from us."
Vyrix says, "We'll be doing the extortion, thank you"
Kalag nods to Vyrix.

Hackard says, "Edwidge, pullin stunts like that in the guild of thugs an' cuththroats isn't too smart"

Koader says, "I now look upon you with more respect than I did before o' lord."

Carnwenan says, "He's got some nice stuff."

Kalag asks, "Alacron fired the killing blow?"
Kalag asks, "Alacron, take first choice from his goods. What do you wish?"

Keidas smiles and skins Edwidge, getting a nice little Edwidge hide.

Daranjem asks, "shall we graverob?"

Kalag takes the scroll from Edwidge.

Kalag says, "Allow me to read this scroll."

Hackard says, "Stop speakin, or i'll shoot you all"

Kalag asks, "Nishu?"

Nishu asks, "aye?"

Here Kalag revealed that Nishu gave the largest donation, so he was given the scroll to safeguard forever.

Kalag picks up some scuffed leather boots.
Kalag offers Alacron some scuffed leather boots.
Alacron accepts Kalag's leather boots.

The earth around Edwidge's body seems to awaken, opening up and curling around him, pulling the lifeless form downward, covering him until all that is left is the empty shell of his clothing.

Kalag says, "The rest...I claim for myself."

Spirral says, "what a bunch of cutt throats we are"
Spirral falls to the ground laughing hysterically!

Thedin says, "Well we are thieves"

Kalag says, "Hand me his goods, if you will."
Kalag says, "I must bury them."
Kalag says, "We must hide the evidence, you see."
Kalag chuckles.
Kalag puts on a pair of horn-rimmed spectacles.
