Droughtman's Challenge Begins Tonight
Think you have what it takes to beat Droughtman’s Challenge? Put your pathfinding skills to the test in the pitch-black corridors of Droughtman’s Maze!
The Rules Are Simple
Upon entering Droughtman’s Maze, players will abandon all of their personal possessions and will be provided a survival kit containing a random melee weapon, a random ranged weapon, a random piece of armor, and a mysterious blue wand. Your goal is simple: traverse Droughtman’s Maze, find a golden key, and escape through the golden archway before time runs out.
The Maze Is Treacherous
Filled with dead ends and even deadlier traps, traversing Droughtman’s Maze is no easy task. Make sure to refresh your memory on some of the recent additions and changes before entering!
The Prizes Are Magnificent
During his time away, Droughtman found and bartered for many exciting new items that he knew would make perfect rewards for his Challenge. These new Grand Dispenser Prizes include things like:
- An Oddly Serrated Dawnfire Steel Shamshir Surrounded In A Radiant Golden Aura - AKA Droughtman's Golden Key. Tier 7 shamshir with a Tier2/Grade2 Radiant Flare
- A Silvery-White Hiromin Tower Shield Constructed To Mimic A Regal Door - AKA Droughtman's Secret Door. Tier 6 Tower Shield with a Tier3/Grade2 Frost Armor Flare. This shield also contains a 'hearthstone' teleportation function which can immediately teleport the user to [Arthe Dale, Low Hillside]. The teleport function will never fade, can be activated while worn and in combat, and can be used once per hour with or without moons.
- An Engraved Icesteel Wand Capped With A Softly Glowing Starfire Topaz - AKA Droughtman's Trusty Wand. This is a highly verby wand toy themed from the event. Some of the verbs can be used from hiding to generate illusionary effects in the area while remaining unseen. The winner of this grand prize will also receive the permanent custom title [Golden Champion].
- A Red-Veined Marble Amulet Strung Upon A Simple Chain - The amulet summons a Dream Eater, which is a highly verby and rare mount.
- An Elegantly Recurved Elothean Battle Bow Of Stormtouched Smokewood & A Rimewolf-Shaped Quiver Set With A Magnificent Imperial Weave And Irinai Icon - Bow & Arrow set. The bow is a Tier 7 composite bow. The quiver can magically generate a stack of 20 [Ice Kissed arrows] every 2.3 days. The Ice Kissed Arrows are Tier 8 frost arrows but will instantly break upon first strike.
In addition, check out the Exoskeletal Shields. Like their exoskeletal weapon and armor brethren, it's a worn item (often jewelry) that transforms into a shield and can transform back. The ones sold at Droughtman's will already be unlocked to the highest tier and self-repairing!
