Event Name: Meeting Miraena
Event Instance: Prime
Real Date: 2024-07-29
Game Date of Event: 449-09-40
Point of View: Casari
It has been 449 years, 359 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
It is the 9th month of Dolefaren the Brigantine (ship) in the year of the Bronze Wyvern.
It is currently winter and it is early afternoon.
You're positive it's 14 roisaen before the Anlas of Firulf's Flame.

You go southeast.
[Mycthengelde, Flatlands]
Well-worn paths lead through a grove of trees to a gate in The Crossing's western wall. Now and again you hear birds calling to one another in the branches, or the bustling of a merchant's cart as it makes its way past. A handful of adventurers nod at you in greeting as they make their way into town. An aromatic mix of wildflowers mingles with wyndwood, oak and juniper trees as the grove stretches north and south, while to the west, you can see grassy flatlands through a small clearing. You also see a wooden sign printed in large block letters, a path that heads westward toward the grasslands, a town wall, a narrow trail and the western gate.
Also here: Messenger Miraena.
Obvious paths: northwest.

Miraena sighs.

You see Messenger Miraena, Voice of the Heralds of Elanthia, a Human.
Miraena has a heart-shaped face, sparkling gold eyes and a small nose. Her mouse brown hair is short and wavy. She has rosy skin and a plump figure.
She is tall for a Human.
She appears to be young.
She is in good shape.

She is holding an oak peasant's walking stick in her right hand.
She is wearing a craftsman's satchel, a homespun blue wool cap, a burlap tunic layered under a weathered leather vest, some burlap workman's pants and some weathered leather sandals with burnished brass buckles.

Miraena gazes at the western gate.

You arch your eyebrow.

Miraena gazes at you.

You ask, "Afternoon. Something wrong with the gate?"

Miraena hesitantly says, "Oh no, it is quite a nice gate. I just have never seen this city before."

You say, "Oh. It's not my favorite city. Kind of big and laid out confusingly, not like those in the south."

You ask, "Are you looking for something in particular?"

Miraena nods to you.

Miraena says, "I am, thank you for asking."

Miraena curiously asks you, "Would you be an adventurer sort?"

You grin.

You say, "Of a sort, definitely."

Miraena bobs a quick curtsy to you.

You nod politely to Miraena.

Miraena says, "Please forgive me, I have met very few adventurers in my life. Only the few who wander too far past Wolf Clan."

Miraena blushes a bright red color.

You ask, "How far is too far?"

Miraena gazes off to the west.

Miraena says, "Oh, very far. Several days walk."

Miraena says, "I have just arrived, and tried to make myself presentable after the journey."

You gaze off to the west.

Miraena hitches up the waistband of her workman's pants.

You say, "Oh. You look great. I'm a fan of function."

Miraena looks at you and blushes.

Miraena says, "I have come today seeking to speak with adventurers, and I have come across one before even entering the city."

Miraena smiles at you.

Miraena gazes off to the east.

You say, "Oh. This city is certainly a place to find those."

You ponder.

Miraena gives a slight nod.

You say, "If you want to talk to a lot of adventurers, maybe one of the guilds would be a good start. Probably... Empaths, that's usually pretty full."

Miraena widens her eyes in dramatic fashion.

You try hard not to grin.

Miraena says, "Oh no, I would think that is too many adventurers all at once."

Miraena gazes at you.

Miraena says, "You all are... quite intimidating for simple folks as me."

You ask, "Well then, maybe I can help. What would you like to discuss with adventurers?"

Miraena gazes at you.

Miraena nods.

Miraena firmly says to you, "Well, I am here to ask you to stop using sorcery, for the good of the world."

Miraena nods.

Miraena gazes off to the west.

You shift your weight.

You say, "Oh, I see. That's certainly a hot topic right now...."

Miraena excitedly asks, "Is it? Have others come before me?"

You say, "A couple. One saying sorcery is dangerous, and one saying it's necessary."

Miraena frowns.

You say, "I'd love to hear more about what you think is happening."

Miraena gazes at you.

Miraena says, "I do not think, I know."

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

You say, "Then I'd love to hear what you know is happening."

Miraena nods to you.

Miraena clears her throat.

Miraena hitches up the waistband of her workman's pants.

Miraena formally says, "My name is Miraena. I come from a small village many many days to the west of here."

Miraena formally says, "My village has born witness to the atrocities of the use of sorcerous magic."

Miraena formally says, "I pled to the skies for ways to protect my family, and I was graced by the beings known as the Heralds with the information I needed."

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

You gaze at Miraena.

Miraena formally says, "They bestowed upon me a myriad of visions of the death and destruction bound for our world should the use of sorcerous magic continue."

Miraena formally says, "I am here to petition the pledge of adventurers to cease all use of sorcerous magic, for the good of the common men and women of this realm."

Miraena slowly empties her lungs.

Miraena raises an eyebrow in your direction.

You ask, "That does sound similar to what the other had asked. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about what you have said, first?"

Miraena gazes at you.

Miraena nods.

You say, "Firstly, it's nice to meet you, Miraena. I'm Casari."

Miraena bobs a quick curtsy to you.

You smile.

You ask, "Could you tell me more about the destruction to your village?"

Miraena says, "Adventurer Casari, thank you for introducing yourself."

Miraena frowns at you.

Miraena quietly says, "We have witnessed many swirling vortexes of light and energy ravaging our fields, and our small homes."

Holy Mage Istercal came through the western gate.

Istercal ponders.

You nod in agreement.

Miraena says, "These effects are devastating to our way of life."

You say, "We have seen these things as well, but from magic that isn't sorcery."

Miraena says, "Adventurers may not understand what it is to live by the food that you grow with your own hands, and shelter under roofs that you thatch yourself."

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

Dancing from one cloud to another, the sun wends its way towards evening.

Miraena says, "When these are taken from us, we are left with very little to survive."

You give a slight nod.

You say, "I understand. That's horrible."

Miraena frowns.

Miraena nods.

Miraena says, "Thank you for your understanding, Adventurer Casari."

You say, "I'm sorry that your village is in distress, and I know there are plenty here who would like to help, one way or another."

Theayo just arrived.

Atuen wandered down a path that heads westward toward the grasslands.

Miraena gives a slight nod.

Miraena says, "That is what I am hoping for, and why I have come to this city."

You ask, "Regarding those who answered your call, did they give you any individual names?"

Miraena shakes her head at you.

Miraena says, "That would be like asking the name of an individual drop of rain amidst a thunderstorm."

You say, "I was curious, since Heralds have historically been generous with announcing their names to us."

Miraena frowns.

Miraena says, "They did not need to provide their names to me. The sight that they provided me was more than enough to show me who they were."

You give a slight nod.

You ask, "Could you tell us more about the sight?"

Atuen looks over Miraena very closely.

Miraena looks at you and blushes.

Miraena says, "Pardon me if I struggle to find the words to adequately describe it."

You say, "Take your time."

You smile at Miraena.

Miraena gives a slight nod.

Theayo takes a seat.

Istercal kneels down.

Istercal observes Miraena with fascination.

Miraena says, "I was aiding in the restoration of my neighbors home, after having been destroyed by one of these swirling vortexes."

Miraena says, "One moment I was high on a ladder, placing a piece of thatch. And the next I was on my knees weeping with the knowledge I had seen."

Miraena says, "It was as if a thousand visions had flooded my eyes at once, all of them showing me destruction unlike anything we had seen in our village so far."

Miraena gazes off into the distance.

Novus Nevali's group came through the western gate.

You grimace.

Miraena quietly says, "I knew in my deepest parts of truth that it was the Heralds who had graced me with this vision, this sight."

Miraena says to you, "And this is why I have come."

You nod to Miraena.

Nevali angles her ears forward in curiosity.

Miraena gazes around at the faces gathering.

Miraena comes and stands near you.

You say, "That sounds like a traumatic experience. Thank you for coming here. I'm glad I was able to hear this."

You look around, trying to appear nonchalant.
[Mycthengelde, Flatlands]
Well-worn paths lead through a grove of trees to a gate in The Crossing's western wall. Now and again you hear birds calling to one another in the branches, or the bustling of a merchant's cart as it makes its way past. You also see a wooden sign printed in large block letters, a path that heads westward toward the grasslands, a town wall, a narrow trail and the western gate.
Also here: Battle Empath Jundara, Novus Nevali, Atuen who is shrouded in ghostly flames, Theayo who is sitting, Holy Mage Istercal who is kneeling and Messenger Miraena.
Obvious paths: northwest.

You say, "Don't be afraid, most of these people are harmless."

Nevali says, "Mostly harmless."

Istercal bows to Miraena.

Atuen casually observes the area.

Miraena asks, "Thank you for listening, Adventurer. I am hoping you will cease your use of sorcery, to help us?"

Jundara smiles at Miraena.

Miraena raises an eyebrow in your direction.

Theayo glances at Miraena.

You say, "I can promise that I will do what is right to help you."

Miraena smiles at you.

Miraena says, "Then I have a gift for you."

Miraena gets a blue iris from inside her craftsman's satchel.

Theayo just left.

Nevali pushes her glasses up the bridge of her nose.

Nevali asks Miraena, "I never started, does that help?"

You smile at Miraena.

Miraena offers you a blue iris. Enter ACCEPT to accept the offer or DECLINE to decline it. The offer will expire in 30 seconds.

You accept Miraena's offer and are now holding a blue iris.
>l iris
You see nothing unusual.

You say, "Oh, it's beautiful. Thank you."

Miraena says, "This is one of my prized blue irises that I grow in my village."

Lore Keeper Lupdels came through the western gate.

The mana streams freeze in place before haltingly resuming their normal course.

Lupdels mumbles something under his breath.

Miraena says, "Please consider it a reminder of what you are offering to save."

You say, "I certainly will."

Nevali quietly says, "What did we miss, though..."

Miraena smiles at Nevali.

Nevali quirks one ear sideways, glancing at Jundara in confusion.

Miraena says to Nevali, "I am pleased to hear that you do not use sorcery."

Jundara rubs Nevali's back.

Nevali says, "I wanted to. I wanted to learn all the magic spells ever. Then I realized... that's too hard. I don't even know all the moon mage spells I'm allowed to know, yet."

Miraena smiles.

Nevali says, "But then magic got weird, so, I think it's better I don't."

Miraena says to Nevali, "Regardless for the reason the bloom grows, we are thankful for it's beauty."

Miraena curtsies to Nevali.

Nevali shifts uncomfortably for a moment.

Nevali quietly says to Jundara, "Aw, she called me pretty..."

Nevali preens. Someone's pleased with herself!

Miraena looks at Nevali and blushes.

Lupdels chuckles.

Jundara smiles at Nevali.

Jundara just kissed Nevali.

Jundara warmly says to Nevali, "You are."

Nevali says to Miraena, "Thanks! But I'm taken."

Miraena says, "You are all so very impressive, with your outfits and your armor..."

Miraena gazes off to the east.

Miraena slowly empties her lungs.

Nevali pats a conical purple wizard's hat strewn with twinkling points of starlight.

Atuen observes Miraena with fascination.

Lupdels gazes into his mirror, smiling slightly as he checks his appearance.

Miraena curtsies to Atuen.

Lupdels bows to Miraena.

Nevali exclaims, "Hey, you can join a guild and be impressive, too!"

Atuen squints at Miraena.

Atuen's tail undulates in an agitated fashion.

Nevali asks, "...can't you?"

Lupdels says, "Many things can be impressive, big and small."

Istercal says, "They are not worn to impress, but to aid others."

Miraena says to Atuen, "My village believed me to be the most capable to make this journey, but I confess I feel like a single wildflower in a patch of roses."

Nevali says to Istercal, "Mine are totally worn to impress."

Istercal peers quizzically at Nevali.

Jundara giggles at Nevali.

Nevali ponders.

Atuen dryly says to Miraena, "Some roses grow higher than others."

Atuen casually observes the area.

Miraena gives a slight nod.

Lupdels ponders.

Nevali says to Miraena, "Wildflowers are great. They grow in the wild, of their own will. Roses are usually cultivated and snipped into shape if they try to get unruly. Be the wild flower."

Lupdels says, "Often the tallest flowers are the ones that are cut down first."

Miraena beams at Nevali!

You nod at Nevali, in complete agreement with her views.

You say to Nevali, "Well said."

Jundara says to Atuen, "All flowers are precious and beautiful, regardless of height."

Jundara nods to Nevali.

Miraena says, "You are all very wise, I am pleased to have found such success on my first visit here."

Atuen directly says to Miraena, "You know, you are just another of a handful directing us what to do with our power...."

Nevali folds her arms inside the sleeves of her wizard's robes, assuming a sanguine expression.

Observer Amailia came through the western gate.

Miraena looks at Atuen and blushes.

Obvious paths: northwest.

Atuen directly says to Miraena, "Why should we listen to you."

Atuen fixes Miraena with a cold, reptilian stare.

Lupdels glances at Miraena.

Miraena says to Atuen, "My deepest apologies if I sounded as if I was directing you. I am simply the messenger."

Thin, wispy lines of light alternately appear and disappear near Amailia's head.

Nevali asks Istercal, "You can tell us the messenge, too, now? You wrote it down or rembered it or something?"

Lupdels asks, "Wildflower that is also a messenger, what is your message?"

Miraena asks, "Have the effects of these swirling vortexes not been felt here? Have people been safe here?"

Lupdels nods.

Miraena smiles at Lupdels.

You say, "We have experienced the vortexes, but not merely from sorcery. All magic is dangerous, now."

Atuen says to Miraena, "I do not care if you are the player or the pawn.... you now, are the voice."

Miraena says to Lupdels, "I was not prepared to give my speech so many times."

Miraena blushes a bright red color.

Istercal says, "We have found ways to help quell the storms."

Lupdels smiles at Miraena.

Atuen says to Miraena, "So why should we listen to you."

Istercal says, "But they are still harmful to those caught unaware."

Lupdels says, "Some will listen to you, some will not, I hope you feel more warmth and reception here than distrust."

Miraena seriously says to Atuen, "For the sake of the world you live in. For the sake of those around you. And for the sake of us citizens who rely on your efforts."

Miraena says, "I have been chosen as a messenger to convey this to you."

Lupdels peers quizzically at Miraena.

Miraena says, "And I, Miraena, as myself... am asking humbly for your help."

Katamba slowly rises above the horizon.

Miraena gazes off to the west.

Istercal says, "Miraena, please excuse Atuen's lack of tact... some roses have thorns as well."

Atuen says, "The godlings care not if we use Sorcery... it has benifited many of us greatly in other efforts."

Miraena frowns.

Atuen waves his hand distractedly.

You say, "When I said most of us are harmless, there were naturally some exceptions."

Miraena says, "Have you not been feeling the scales tip? Even we far to the west have felt things worsen."

Lupdels smirks.

Atuen glances at you.

Lupdels asks Miraena, "Tell us how you feel things in the west?"

Miraena says to Lupdels, "We have seen massive vortexes of energy destroying our village. This destruction has led to illness and death in our communities."

Lupdels frowns.

Istercal removes a covellite herbal case labeled "Emergency" from his belt.

Miraena says, "The Heralds have graced me with the sight of what is to come if sorcery is to continue."

Miraena says, "I am but a humble farmer of no renown, come to adventurers in the great city of Crossing to ask that you help us."

Istercal offers Miraena a covellite herbal case labeled "Emergency".

Lupdels nods.

Atuen says, "And why now......."

Miraena declines Istercal's offer.

Lupdels asks, "What is your warning?"

Atuen says, "The heralds, as you say.... seemed to turn a blind eye to our use of Sorcery when it was to defeat a Demon."

Atuen fixes Miraena with a cold, reptilian stare.

Miraena says to Lupdels, "That the use of sorcery is cutting holes in our fishing net of life. Already, things slip through and are lost. If we do not mend the net, we will not be able to survive."

Miraena looks at Atuen and blushes.

Amailia says, "So now two against sorcery, one for sorcery. Interesting..."

Amailia ponders.

Jundara asks Miraena, "I don't understand much about magic... but I have been given the gift of healing and have studied it. Is there any way I can help your village?"

Lupdels asks Miraena, "Most humble farmer, thank you for your warnings, but what do you know of sorcery? How can we repair the net?"

Miraena says to Atuen, "I apologize that I am not able to explain the decisions of the Heralds to you. They did not deign to share that information with me."

Jundara angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Miraena.

Xibar slowly rises above the horizon.

Observer Amailia goes northwest.

Istercal attaches a covellite herbal case labeled "Emergency" to his belt.

Atuen says to Miraena, "Do not feign innocence with a blush with me, human."

Pack Brother Ghust just arrived.

Atuen scowls at Miraena.

Lupdels says, "I have been a student of the magical domains of dragons and have worried for some time that sorcery and other extraplanar magic are corrupting influences on Elanthia ..."

Lupdels sighs.

Miraena says to Jundara, "The way to help my village is to put a stop to the use of sorcery."

Jundara nods to Miraena.

Miraena curtsies to Atuen.

Ghust peers quizzically at Miraena.

Jundara says, "I will do my best to spread your message and tell others."

Nevali gives Jundara a smooch.

Miraena smiles at Jundara.

Miraena stands near Jundara.

Miraena says to Jundara, "Then please, let me give you this gift of thanks."

Miraena gets a blue iris from inside her craftsman's satchel.

Obvious paths: northwest.

Jundara beams at Miraena!

Nevali says, "Me too... sorta. I mean, no one takes me seriously usually, so it'll be easier if I let Junebug do it for us..."

Miraena says, "That you may remember my village, and our plight, and help us by spreading this word."

Miraena offers Jundara a blue iris.

Jundara accepts Miraena's blue iris.

Atuen says to Miraena, "That, is a pawn..... messenger."

Nevali trills softly at Jundara.

Atuen points at Jundara.

Jundara curtsies to Miraena.

You ask, "Does your village have a name?"

Jundara says, "Thank you."

Pack Brother Ghust went through the western gate.

Miraena asks Jundara, "May I know your name, Adventurer?"

Jundara sniffs at a blue iris.

Atuen nods.

Miraena says to Atuen, "I am happy to be a pawn in the service of this message."

Miraena says, "It is what I have travelled for so many days here to do."

Nevali says, "She's Jundara, or Junebug, or Juneberry, or My Best Gal, or Sweetyplum."

Lupdels chuckles.

Jundara smiles.

Atuen says to Miraena, "You will not be alone in that with this lot."

Miraena says to you, "No, we simply call it the Village. There is no one we have needed to describe it to in any more detail than that."

You nod to Miraena.

Lupdels asks, "Most humble farmer, do you have a name we may call you?"

Jundara examines a blue iris.

Miraena looks at Lupdels and blushes.

Jundara smiles at a blue iris.

Miraena warmly says to Jundara, "My name is Miraena."

Lupdels bows to Miraena.

Jundara says to Miraena, "I am Jundara."

Jundara curtsies to Miraena.

Miraena says, "Thank you, Adventurer Jundara."

Miraena smiles.

Jundara smiles.

Lupdels says, "My name is Lupdels, and I say I think Miraena is in the right opinion."

Miraena beams at Lupdels!

Miraena stands near Lupdels.

Miraena gets a blue iris from inside her craftsman's satchel.

Atuen's scales gleam with a fiery lustre, his eyes determined and ready.

Miraena says to Lupdels, "Grown by my own two hands, with love and respect for the balance of nature."

Atuen dryly asks Miraena, "They are easy... no?"

Miraena offers Lupdels a blue iris.

Lupdels accepts Miraena's blue iris.

Lupdels bows to Miraena.

Miraena curtsies to Lupdels.

Miraena says, "I was so nervous about approaching the city today, and yet I have met such helpful adventurers."

Lupdels says to Atuen, "My research has long led me to believe sorcery and extraplanar influences are disruptive, godlings aside as they too are meddlesome."

Nevali asks, "Well... is she saying no more sorcery ever, or just no more casual flinging of sorcerous spells, and save it for when you really, really need to stop a demon?"

Lupdels chuckles at Nevali.

Lupdels asks Nevali, "No more fire until we must fight fire?"

Nevali asks, "Something like that?"

Nevali angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Miraena.

Lupdels says, "As a Bard I am most familiar with the concept that something can be the cause of but also the solution to life's problem. It's led some Bards to swear off booze, perhaps sorcery is the same."

Miraena firmly says to Nevali, "No, adventurers must stop using sorcery entirely, else the scales will continue to tip."

Nevali nods to Miraena.

Lupdels examines a blue iris.

Lupdels moves a blue iris to his left hand.

Atuen's tail undulates in an agitated fashion.

Nevali asks, "Ohh... there are scales? Is stopping going to make it go back the other way, or is there something else to do?"

Lupdels ponders.

Atuen asks Miraena, "Are you of a guild, Human?"

Miraena says to Nevali, "Stopping the use of sorcery will naturally bring the balance back."

Miraena shakes her head at Atuen.

Nevali exclaims, "Sounds easy, then. Do nothing!"

Miraena says, "I would not even imagine being skilled enough to join a Guild. Those are... far too above me."

Miraena blushes a bright red color.

Nevali says, "And hope no demons show up before it's balanced."

Miraena glances at Nevali.

Istercal says, "It does seem a small price to pay for the world not ending."

Miraena quietly asks, "Demons?"

Nevali looks at Miraena and shrugs.

Miraena fearfully asks, "Do you think there are demons??"

Lupdels says, "You are not afraid to speak the truth, you'd make a fine Bard in my mind."

Lupdels smiles at Miraena.

You say to Miraena, "We know there are demons."

Nevali says, "Atuen's the one mentioning demons, I have no idea what those are."

Miraena glances at you.

A tremble slowly spreads through Miraena, as she is visibly shaken by this information.

Nevali says, "I am not sure about demons, but there are definitely star-people from other planets trying to mess with us here and there..."

Atuen says, "So, a commoner, with no connection the power we hold, turns up with a "message" that would clip up at the tail."

Miraena asks you, "Are there demons here?"

Miraena quickly says, "Perhaps coming here was a mistake."

Atuen fixes Miraena with a cold, reptilian stare.

The sun vanishes behind a multicolored splendor of clouds as night slowly drapes its starry banner across the skies.

You say to Miraena, "Not exactly. We know the demons want to get into our realm and would do anything to make it happen."

Lupdels says, "Unless sorcery is helping to poke holes that help the demons get into our realm ..."

Miraena seems to relax a little, her physical trembling at lease coming to a halt.

Lupdels ponders.

You say, "They might even show someone visions designed to mislead us. It's a troubling circumstance."

Miraena gazes at Lupdels.

Miraena says to Lupdels, "That is exactly one of the possibilities."

Lupdels says, "Violence begets more violence."

Nevali scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Atuen says to Nevali, "Ask around who Maelshyve is, and what the philosiphers knot had to do with that one."

Nevali scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Nevali says, "Maybe."

Nevali asks Miraena, "Want to witness something neat before you need to return home?"

Miraena gazes at Nevali.

Miraena quietly asks, "It's not a demon, is it?"

Nevali says, "I don't know what it will be. I'm new to this whole vision thing myself."

Nevali shrugs.

Jundara gazes at Nevali in wonder.

You glance at Nevali, a female Prydaen.

You say, "Oh... if you're going to do that, I really hope it's one of the rare pleasant ones."

Nevali nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Istercal stands up.

Nevali asks Miraena, "With your permission, of course?"

Miraena gazes at Nevali.

Nevali asks, "Shall we share a vision of the future?"

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

Istercal says to Miraena, "I appreciare your trek and will heed your warning. Other call for aid and I must respond."

Istercal bows to Miraena.

Miraena says to Nevali, "With all due respect owed to an Adventurer such as yourself... I do not feel comfortable being cast upon."

Holy Mage Istercal went through the western gate.

Nevali's ears droop for a moment.

Nevali nods.

Miraena frowns.

Jundara rubs Nevali gently, massaging her muscles.

Nevali says, "Alright."

Atuen raises an eyebrow.

Miraena says, "My apologies. You must remember, this is all very new to me."

Miraena looks at Nevali and blushes.

Lupdels smiles at Miraena.

Nevali says, "I just arrived when you were talking about a vision earlier..."

Miraena gives a slight nod.

Nevali asks, "It seems a scientific curiosity to try and provoke another vision in someone gifted...?"

Miraena says, "I lack the words to truly describe it. It was a vision, but it was also a deep understanding. As if I had lived everything I had seen."

Miraena ponders.

Nevali nods in agreement.

Nevali says, "That's what it's like. Like being thrust into another person's body, in another time, in another place... then getting poofed back into yourself. In an instant."

Atuen sarcastically says to himself, "Or just told what to say."

Miraena nods at Nevali, obviously agreeing with her views.

Miraena asks Nevali, "May I have your name?"

Jundara smiles at Nevali.

Nevali says, "Nevali! Wizard of the Cosmos. My friends call me Pudge."

Jundara smiles at Nevali.

Miraena quietly says, "Wizard of the Cosmos..."

Nevali strokes her purple beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Miraena says, "That sounds very important."

Nevali says, "It sounds like it."

Nevali says, "But it isn't."

Miraena giggles.

Jundara just took the hand of Nevali and gently kissed the back of it.

Nevali's eyelids droop slightly as she utters a low, affectionate trill at Jundara.

Jundara gazes at Nevali.

Miraena says, "I am very pleased to have made your acquaintance today."

Nevali exclaims, "I'm just a humble inn-keeper's daughter way in over her head pretending to be something I'm not very good at, honestly, and I command you all to forget you heard that!"

Nevali shakes her fist!

Miraena says to Nevali, "That sounds very familiar."

Miraena blushes a bright red color.

Nevali nods to Miraena.

Jundara rubs Nevali gently, massaging her muscles.

Jundara rubs Nevali's back.

Nevali says, "That's why I think you could be someone important and powerful if you tried your hand at it."

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

Jundara smiles at Nevali.

Jundara nods at Nevali, obviously agreeing with her views.

Nevali leans on Jundara.

You ask Miraena, "May I ask if anyone else in your village received the vision?"

Miraena says to you, "No, I was the only one. Which is why I had to be the one to come to the city."

You nod.

Lupdels asks, "I have a question that I struggle to form into words. When you received your vision, your knowledge, can you express what it felt like when you were told sorcery was the threat? What is sorcery as you understand it?"

Miraena ponders.

Nevali nods emphatically at Lupdels.

Nevali quietly says, "Good question."

Miraena says to Lupdels, "It was incredibly overwhelming... like jumping into an icy pond, where you feel sensation along every nerve in your body, head to toe."

Lupdels nods.

Miraena says, "I have never cast magic myself, so I cannot tell you how I knew it was sorcery. But simply that I KNEW. Just like I know when a storm will be rolling in, or that the sun will rise again tomorrow."

Lupdels says, "I usually need a hot toddy after an icy pond."

Nevali stares at the sky for a few long moments.
She breathes deeply of the air and faces the wind.

Lupdels glances up at the sky.

Lupdels says, "At least today does not seem as cold."

Miraena says, "In the same way, I simply knew that in order to protect my family, my village, and hopefully yours too, was to come and try to spread word."

Miraena gazes off to the east.

You study the area...

Lupdels is a male Rakash. He appears to be archaic.
Jundara is a female Prydaen. She appears to be young.
Nevali is a female Prydaen. She appears to be young.
Atuen is a male S'Kra Mur. He appears to be young.
Miraena is a female Human. She appears to be young.
That's everyone!

You ask, "It's worth asking. Does the word Liraxes mean anything to you?"

Miraena ponders.

Miraena says, "No, I'm sorry, it does not."

Miraena shakes her head at you.

You say, "That's okay. It doesn't mean anything to anyone else, either."

Miraena says, "Now, as sunset approaches I believe it would be best if I found a place to camp outside the city for the evening."

Jundara nods to Miraena.

The last few clouds drift away, leaving a fine expanse of stars.

Lupdels bows to Miraena.

Miraena gazes up at the sky.

Lupdels says, "I hope you are received warmly as long as you stay here."

You say, "You could always stay inside the city, you know."

Atuen says to Miraena, "One more thing...."

Miraena says, "Thank you Adventurers for hearing my plea and for pledging to aid us."

Lupdels gives Miraena a studious look, as if committing her to memory.

Miraena raises an eyebrow in Atuen's direction.

Atuen says to Miraena, "That hole you are looking to find for the night, make sure you stay there, if i find you again, or any of your lot spouting this rubbish, i will make sure it is your last day."

Miraena frowns at Atuen.

You say, "Now, now, Atuen. No need for that kind of hostility."

Atuen says, "Now go."

Atuen scowls.

Atuen wandered up a path that heads westward toward the grasslands.

Miraena says to you, "It is alright, I understood that I faced risks coming here."

Nevali pushes her glasses up the bridge of her nose.

Lupdels says, "The Crossing is home to all types, good and bad."

Miraena says, "Should it take my death to continue spreading the word, I am prepared."

Miraena bows her head in acknowledgement.

You say to Miraena, "I'm sorry for that. Thank you for bringing us your message."

Miraena curtsies.

Lupdels bows to Miraena.

Messenger Miraena wanders northwest.
