Description

The bobcat is poised, graceful, and appears to be at ease yet ready to spring. It fixes its golden eyes on you, and you are mesmerized for a moment, yet your instincts scream to submit as you look away first. Finally the bobcat turns his attention elsewhere, looking bored by the encounter. Yet you are certain it will mark your every move with a wariness it does not show.

Anatomy Chart

About two feet high at the shoulders, this tawny, spotted cat is drawn standing with its back arched and one paw lifted. Ruffs of hair beneath its tufted black-tipped ears give the creature's face a wide appearance. A note at the bottom of the chart cautions that the felines have been known to take prey eight times their own weight, which they cache to feed on at their leisure.
