Bloodlock

A bloodlock is magical spellbook lock that bonds to the first person who rubs it. (The bloodlock attunes itself to the owner's blood by pricking the finger.) It is infused with life magic and can only be opened by the owner with the key.

Syntax

RUB MY BLOODLOCK:Bonds the bloodlock to the owner
PUT/GET BLOODLOCK ON MY SPELLBOOK
CLOSE BLOODLOCK: Latches the spellbook shut
LOCK MY SPELLBOOK WITH MY KEY
UNLOCK MY SPELLBOOK WITH MY KEY:
OPEN BLOODLOCK: Unlatches the spellbook

Focus

You focus your magical senses on a [description] bloodlock.
The [description] bloodlock has a definite magical pattern.
You recognize the pattern as a manifestation of Life magic.
You sense that the bloodlock can detect the subtle differences between the blood of one mortal and that of another.
It has not been attuned to anyone yet.
