Autosneak
Toggles whether moving in a compass direction while hidden automatically sneaks instead of dropping you out of hiding.
AUTOSNEAK (switching it on)

You see: You will now attempt to auto-sneak.

AUTOSNEAK (switching it off)
You see: You will no longer attempt to auto-sneak.

Syntax

  • AUTOSNEAK
Toggles the feature on or off. It is a plain toggle rather than a setting you name a state for, so any extra words are ignored and AUTOSNEAK OFF simply flips whichever way the flag is currently set.
  • AUTOSNEAK HELP
Displays the helpfile below.

Game Helpfile

Autosneak is a toggle that will allow you to automatically sneak while hidden when a compass direction
is passed to the game through your client.

Syntax:
AUTOSNEAK - Toggle the feature on or off

Usage

The setting only changes what happens when you are already hidden and then move in a compass direction.

  • With autosneak on, the direction is carried out as SNEAK <direction> and you stay hidden.
  • With autosneak off, you get "You come out of hiding." and then walk normally.

Because the move becomes a real SNEAK, every restriction on that command still applies: you cannot sneak with items at your feet, and destinations that cannot be hidden in will refuse you. A direction that would have been an ordinary walk can therefore fail while autosneak is on.

The toggle is stored on your character and survives logout, so it stays set from one session to the next. It cannot be used while you are in roundtime.
