Eskila wearily says to you, "I give you my permission to mount or be mounted by Sonatina just for this event."

J> You nod in agreement.

J> Sonatina whispers, "I'll horse"

J> Sonatina gets a spotted white hobbyhorse from inside her war belt.

You chuckle at Eskila.

You nod to Sonatina.

J> Crobin says, "Oh I am to old for this."

J> Leayne bounces up and down, pointing at Crobin and chanting "I want a piggyback ride!"

J> Zalinyar grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.

You whisper to Zalinyar, "spoon please"

You glance down at your empty hands.

J> You accept Zalinyar's offer and are now holding a metal spoon with an open-work handle shaped like crossed jousting lances.

J> Crobin says, "Leayne."

J> J> J> J> J> Leayne softly exclaims, "I can't find my lance!"

J> Crobin asks, "Do we need permisson for mounting?"

You wave your metal spoon around.

You growl ferociously!

You slink up to Sonatina with fluid grace, curling your tail lazily in the air.

J> Leayne gets a mug of Running Stream beer from inside her rose colored haversack.

You ponder the meaning of Sonatina's existence.

J> Vaddon says, "Mount from the side folks. Stayed alert. Safety first."

J> Crobin stare at Leayne, wiggling his ears around and focusing on her.

J> Leayne puts her chanfron in a swirling eddy of incandescent light bound by a gold-striated coralite frame.

J> Leayne waves a mug of Running Stream beer around.

J> Crobin asks, "Which side?"

J> Eskila wearily exclaims, "Watch out she scratches!!"

J> J> Zalinyar grins, revealing her dimples.

J> You softly say, "Left side is usual."

J> Vaddon says, "Customarily the left."

You nod in agreement.

J> (Leayne pokes her horse)

J> Leayne bounces up and down, pointing at Crobin and chanting "I want a piggyback ride!"

J> (Crobin lifts his hands up llooking for the L shape)

J> J> Crobin says, "Aww this one."

(Xionara pets her mount gently on the head right between the ears.)

You rub Sonatina's head.

Crobin says, "Over on this side love."

J> Zalinyar chuckles at Crobin.

You softly say to Sonatina, "There's a good girl. Steady now."

J> (Crobin hunkers down so Leayne can "mount" him)

You pat Sonatina on the back.

J> J> J> J> (Leayne tries to mount her horse but fails)

J> Leayne takes a sip of her beer.

J> Eskila wearily says, "You didn't even put a saddle pad down."

Eskila frowns at you.

J> Crobin says, "Neigh."

You rub Sonatina gently, trying to massage any sore muscles.

J> J> J> J> J> J> Leayne softly says, "He's tough."

J> Zalinyar says, "Here folks you will see Leayne and Crobin spoon jousting against Xionara and SOnatina."

You softly exclaim to Eskila, "Am just starting!"

J> Crobin says, "Random horse noises."

J> J> Leayne softly says, "Where is my lance."

J> J> Leayne rummages through a rose colored seaglass-beaded watersilk haversack searching with intent, but it quickly becomes apparent she's not got a clue where to look.

J> Fariden asks Zalinyar, "So, they're spooning?"

J> Eskila offers Leayne a lance-shaped waffle filled with rainbow cream and a raspberry-bloodwyne mixture.

J> (Sonatina whinnies)

J> J> Zalinyar nods to Fariden.

J> Crobin says, "Spooning and mounting."

J> Leayne giggles at Eskila.

(Xionara rummages in her backpack, then places two saddle pads on top of her horse's back.)

J> Crobin says, "If the guards see us."

J> Crobin says, "Jail time for suree."

J> J> Crobin nods.

J> Leayne takes a sip of her beer.

J> Leayne falls over.

J> Leayne stands up.

J> Crobin pulls Leayne towards him!

J> J> Leayne softly asks, "Horsie, horsie?"

J> (Crobin hunkers down a bit lower)

J> J> Crobin says, "Neigh and stuff."

J> (Xionara fishes around in her backpack and finds the bridle she prefers for jousting, and attaches it in the proper fashion.)

Sonatina stands astride her white hobbyhorse and gallops around the room.

J> Crobin studies his slim almanac closely.

J> Leayne takes a sip of her beer.

J> J> Leayne wobbles, looking a bit faint.

J> J> J> Crobin says, "Yes...horses can read."

J> Eskila gazes at Sonatina.

J> Crobin puts his almanac in his kirmiko pocket.

J> J> Sonatina nods to you.

J> J> J> Leayne bounces up and down, pointing at Crobin and chanting "I want a piggyback ride!"

J> Crobin says, "Repent is always best."

J> Sonatina's voice takes on an almost lyrical quality as she launches into the chorus of Faenella's Grace, each word flowing to the next with a seamless ease.

J> J> J> Crobin says, "Helps the soul I cam sure."

(Xionara mutters to herself as she digs around in her bags, pulling out a well-used saddle. She places it carefully on Sonatina, securing the straps and testing for a good fit.)

You glance at Sonatina, a female Prydaen.

J> (Leayne climbs up on her horse)

J> (Crobin hunkers down hodling his hands out to act as stirrup)

J> J> Leayne wobbles, looking a bit faint.

J> Sonatina inhales a great swallow of air.

J> You softly ask Eskila, "Is this in order, boss?"

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Eskila.

J> J> J> (Crobin once Leayne is on his back he runs around in a quick circle)

J> J> Leayne gets a metal spoon with an open-work handle shaped like crossed jousting lances from inside her rose colored haversack.

J> Crobin says, "Clip clop clip clop."

J> J> J> Eskila wearily exclaims to you, "I'm not your boss or your squire!!"

You laugh!

(Xionara puts the jousting spoon temporarily on a strap secured to her back harness, then places one foot in the stirrup and takes a deep breath.)

J> You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.

J> Crobin says, "Neigh and clip clop."

J> Zalinyar giggles at Crobin.

J> J> (Akeiro rears up and paws at the air like a pretty pony.)

J> J> J> J> (Leayne pulls on her horses ear to turn him to face Sonatina)

(Xionara shifts her weight into the stirrup and swings the over leg over her mount's back, then sits down carefully, taking the reins in one hand.)

J> Fariden angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Akeiro.

J> Selame laughs at Akeiro.

J> Crobin makes a grunting noise.

You tap a metal spoon with an open-work handle shaped like crossed jousting lances that you are holding.

J> (Crobin turns towards Sonatina)

J> Leayne softly says, "Turn you glue factory."

J> Fariden asks Akeiro, "Suddenly, a new challenger approaches?"

J> Zalinyar exclaims, "Jousters, on your mark!"

(Xionara grabs the spoon with her other hand and starts to wave it in the air.)

(Xionara assumes the position, raising her spoon in the air and angling it towards the competition.)

J> (Leayne charges into Xionara)

Crobin says, "Clip clop clip clop clip clop."

J> Leayne softly exclaims, "Take that!"

(Xionara charges into Leayne with a fierce shout.)

You wave your metal spoon at Leayne.

J> J> Leayne takes a sip of her beer.

J> J> J> J> J> J> J> Leayne wobbles, looking a bit faint.

J> (Crobin winks as Sonatina on the pass and whispers)

(Xionara rocks back in the saddle as her joust makes contact with Leayne's shield and mutters a curse.)

J> Eskila lets out a hearty cheer for Sonatina!

J> (Crobin slowly turns back towards Sonatina and paws at the grass making sure they were ready, but was caught off watching them already half way over)

J> Crobin says, "OH."

J> Fariden says, "Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Crobin..."

(Xionara braces her jousting spoon against her forearm, leaning to the left and angling the point at Leayne's neck.)

J> (Crobin gallops forward quickly trying to catch up)

(Leayne makes another charge at Xionara)

J> Leayne softly exclaims, "Fall!"

You gaze at Leayne.

J> Crobin says, "NEIGH."

J> J> J> Crobin says, "Clip clop clip clop."

J> Leayne giggles at Crobin.

(Sonatina quickly makes the turn and settles in waiting for the next call.)

J> Leayne softly says, "My horse is too old for this."

(Xionara smashes into Leayne, who rocks back in her saddle but manages to stay seated.)

You chortle at Leayne.

J> J> J> J> J> (Crobin hits a stick in the ground and falls flat on his face skidding past the others with Leayne still on his back)

J> Crobin falls over.

J> J> Leayne glares at you.

You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.

J> J> J> J> J> Crobin stands up.

J> (Leayne pulls her horse )

J> Leayne bounces up and down, pointing at Crobin and chanting "I want a piggyback ride!"

(Xionara shushes her mount as Sonatina dances from leg to leg.)

(Xionara quickly kicks Sonatina's flanks, pushing her onward.)

You lean forward.

J> J> Leayne's eyes widen as she suppresses a cough and a puff of smoke comes out of her nostrils.

(Crobin hops to the side and lands quickly charging forward)

J> The grey cat purrs, "Horses do not 'eep' sir"

J> Crobin says, "Umm."

J> (Sonatina rears, dancing in a circle.)

You softly say, "Hoo, wait, wait. Another pass."

J> Crobin asks, "Oop?"

J> (Xionara leans this way and that as Sonatina rears.)

J> Sonatina says, "That's ploop."

Your tail undulates lazily through the air.

You softly exclaim, "Spunky!"

J> Leayne softly says, "Another head shot."

J> J> Leayne gets an impish expression on her face, and lets out a hearty cheer.

(Xionara spurs Sonatina into action.)

J> J> (Crobin lowers his head not watching where going...right in line with Sonatina and Xionara)

J> (Leayne kicks her horse)

J> Selame exclaims to Leayne, "Harder!"

J> J> J> (Sonatina didges Crobin)

J> J> Sonatina sighs.

J> Zalinyar exclaims, "Well ladies and gents, there you have it... Heart and Helms very favorite pass-time. Let's give it up for my wonder team, Xionara, Leayne, Crobin, and Ssonatina!"

J> (Xionara takes advantage of the opening and slams Leayne hard, waiting to see if she creates air time.)

J> Leayne giggles.

J> You gaze at Leayne.

J> Eskila squints at Crobin, then throws a lance-shaped waffle filled with rainbow cream and a raspberry-bloodwyne mixture in his direction. Oooo, near miss!

J> Zalinyar lets out a loud "Huzzah!"

You chortle softly at some secret joke.

J> Leayne wobbles, looking a bit faint.

You wave your metal spoon around.

J> (Crobin Hears Ghust and his head turns as he trips getting a mouth full of mud)

You flash a wide grin.

J> (Sonatina leaps forward, chaging into the fray with Xionara smashing Leayne.)

J> Crobin says, "I mean."

J> Zalinyar says, "Believe it or not, this is a ton of fun to not only watch, but participate in."

Leayne's eyes widen as she suppresses a cough and a puff of smoke comes out of her nostrils.

J> Zalinyar exclaims, "Next, let us give Akeiro and Selame a very warm welcome, and get ready to hear a great duet!"

J> Leayne puts her spoon in her rose colored haversack.

(Xionara dismounts Sonatina with a quick slide off her back and hands the reins to Eskila.)

J> J> Selame draws forth a dragon-headed hobbyhorse with red nightsilk fins and glittery platinum horns.

J> You softly say to Eskila, "Thanks for loan, boss."

J> (Eskila smooches Sonatina right on the bridle)

J> Sonatina hugs you, and you wrap your arms around her with a warm smile.

You hug Sonatina. A faint scent of wild orchids clings to her fur.
