I was thinking about making a page for Lich as well, but I'm not really sure how to categorise it. You can use it with Wizard or Stormfront, and its like a "skin" that fits over them and gives additional functionality. Thoughts on what to call it, exactly? --Ysselt 18:47, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

That wouldn't be a front end but a third-party add-on that provides additional features. Perhaps it could be called a "utility," though that term is a little vague. However you classify it, I would name the article something other than just "Lich," as that is taken. --Isharon 19:24, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Wrayth

We're rebranding our front end from Stormfront to Wrayth. This change is tentatively rolling out tomorrow afternoon.

The launch will be an update to our installer, the Simutronics' Game Entry (SGE) for the purpose of renaming to Wrayth, with the goal of incorporating future QoL updates down the road to improve the gaming experience. The front end should look and act exactly as it did, but it's the first step in a series of goals we have. A big thank you to our early alpha testers on this project.

To obtain this update, you simply have to launch the game via the SGE to prompt the install or launch Stormfront from the play.net website.

  • There is a known issue with using a skin that is not the default. You will see an error popup and will have to reselect your skin by navigating to it in the Wrayth folder and reselecting it.
  • There is a known issue with the install process reporting an error of being unable to find a Wise Uninstall file (part of the Stormfront uninstall process). Just click OK. The installation continues normally.

We have tested with Lich and it seems to be a seamless update with version 4.13.6f which is (I think?) the most current version of Lich for DR. If you are not on this version I am unsure what will happen, so you may want to consider updating!

I do not know if Genie users will be impacted. I think some people identify their client as a version of Stormfront, so that may need to be updated on your end.

I will let you know here when I have a firm time for release.
