Riki, as Birleshen called her, was a quiet but content child. Being a retired soldier, he spent many evenings telling her stories from the times of the Clan War and the many wars since that time. She would ask the old cleric many questions. Riki Questioned him on his faith and his Deity. He was patient and kind in his explanations. She would ask him about her heritage and the old cleric would get her as much information as he could on Rakash history. But he never could or tried to explain why she was found alone by the altar in Mer'Kresh.

Description

You are Soldier Rikilieta, a Rakash Cleric. You have pouting lips, sparkling blue-green eyes, a small nose and dimples. Your blue-black hair is very long and straight, and is worn in a deceptively careless-looking arrangement of upswept locks held in place by a dainty glaysker flower haircomb set with ruby chips. You have tanned skin and a shapely figure.

At the tender age of 10 years old Rikilieta awoke at an altar in Mer'Kresh. Her hair was matted with crusty, dried blood. She soon realized she had no idea where she was, let alone who she was. She stayed at the altar for an unknown period of time. A Cleric, by the name of Birleshen arrived and found the little girl unconscious and suffering from the effects of the head wound and starvation. The kind old elven cleric took the child and prayed over her and nursed her back to health. During his time nursing the unconscious little girl she would sometimes wake and seem to search. He asked a Rakash trader the rakash word for search and found out that it was reklet. Birleshen amended the word to one that better suited his native tongue and gave his charge the name Rikilieta. He decided she was approximately 10 years old and gave her the day he found her as her "re-birthday".

Riki, as Birleshen called her, was a quiet but content child. Being a retired soldier, he spent many evenings telling her stories from the times of the Clan War and the many wars since that time. She would ask the old cleric many questions. Riki often questioned him on his faith and his Deity. He was patient and kind in his explanations. She would ask him about her heritage and the old cleric would get her as much information as he could on Rakash history. But he never could or tried to explain why she was found alone by the altar in Mer'Kresh.

They lived alone in the woods of Riverhaven for four and a half years. She had grown tall and willowy in that time. She left the cleric once a month, when Katamba was full and she was in moonskin to climb the hills and howl, sure that her family might hear her. Each time returning to Birleshen in her human form, determined to continue at the next full moon.

When Riki was 14, Birleshen became ill. On his death bed he urged her to go to the Clerics Guild in Riverhaven to study. The old cleric divulged to her at that time that he found her a wolf had been at her side. Birleshen told Riki then that the wolf was shrouded in light and it had spoken to him. The wolf said to him, "This child is not ready to walk the starry road. She will grow to be a great warrior in her time. She is a seeker of knowledge and will bring tremendous insight to the lands. Cleric, I charge you with caring for this little one. Love her and treat her as your own. Show her the ways of your guild. Meraud sent me, Kleinzack, to tell you of this. She is a gift to you in your last years for your loyalty, be in peace Cleric."
