Hi there!

>>I also understand the low turnouts in the off hours, but I do think we still have to try to get something at those times. There may only be 10 people turn up to an event in the offhours, vs 100 people in the prime time hours, but those 10 people are still paying customers, paying the same amount each month as anyone else, and probably should get the same out of the game as anyone else?

Like Raesh said, I think you'd be surprised at just how much you're overestimating attendance at the VAST majority of events, no matter their time or the amount of advanced notice that's put out for them. That said though, I'm curious as to which 'off hours' your hours actually are.

I know that I've personally run multiple events during US eastern time zone daytime/early afternoon hours just within the past few months that I've been unleashed on you all. Even though this isn't my normal availability during the week, I try to pop in and do SOMETHING during this time range whenever I get a chance.

The GM staff runs events (and does all of our other work, which even for an Events Team member extends to quite a lot more than just the planning/running of events) in our own available hours, and while I can't speak for everyone else on staff, I can certainly say that from everything I've seen we have a pretty wide-ranging spread of times that we're each more visibly active. For big, planning/creation-time intensive events that only happen once, we do tend to run them as close to prime time hours as we can, with some variations, just simply because we want those huge(er) things to be accessible to as many players as is possible. Outside of that, I've honestly been really super impressed with not only my fellow Events Team GMs, but also those not even on the team who still do events, with regard to the sheer level of timezone coverage that I've seen in these last few months.

I know this is easy for me to say, because I see literally every event that every GM runs, announced or not. For you guys, especially if you're someone who doesn't follow the calendars, message boards, tweets, or IG flavor announcements religiously, it could look very different. I'll add to this that perception can be further skewed when you're (general you) not seeing the KINDS of events that you particularly want during any given time range.

So, I want to throw this out there: What sorts of events do you want to see more of -- off hours or not? Not specific storylines or anything, just general categories like invasions, raffles, GMNPC appearances, random weirdness, hooks into long storylines, one-off rp scenarios, alterers/live merchants -- stuff of that nature. Feel free to add in your time zone, or any time zones you feel would especially benefit from that sort of event. This isn't to say that these things will start to immediately explode during those times, but it's always nice for us GM folks to know what you player people are wanting, and communication like this can make that a whole lot easier!
