| Basic ingot smelting is doable with 0 skill, and can teach to 50ish ranks. From there, smelting takes you up to 80ish, and then you can begin pounding out some of the easier items. If you study the book while turned to the page you should get an idea of how well you'd do at the item assuming you use moderately difficult ingredients. Use something easier to make it sooner. | |
