HUG: You give a plush doll dressed in swaths of dark fabric a hug. I'm quite sure that the doll appreciates the sentiment.
POKE: You poke a finger at your doll. It turns its head to look at you, scowls up its face and slaps your hand with surprising force. Hey, that kind of hurt!
PULL: You grab hold of your doll's head and give a good yank. The head pops off, causing the doll to scream out loudly. You clamp your hand over its tiny mouth and manage to put the head back on the body.
TICKLE: You waggle your fingers at the doll in a teasing manner. The doll grabs hold of a finger and clamps its sharp teeth down upon it. It didn't draw blood, but it hurt none-the-less!
