Thick and richly worked with silk and silver threads, the heavily figured textile displays a pattern of shifting shadows and lines. The swirling effect is heightened by the illusory effect of abyssal shadows caused by the abysselle fibers used in the weaving. The woven pattern combines with the mysterious fibers to give an illusion of a vortex of the very depths of space spread across the surface of the fabric.
