Both the Dwarves of Forfedhdar and the Therengian priests of Glythtide lay claim to the original discovery of this durable deposit. What is certain, alestone is an extremely rare, porous quartz-variant found deep within caves where it is rumored that the faint scent of fermented grain and wild honey can draw miners to the location of these coveted quarries.

Alestone is a naturally warm, honey-amber hue riddled within countless tiny, silvery inclusions. Far from static adornments, these inclusions actively rise slowly toward an opaque layer of creamy white deposits that form a pitted, vesicular texture like a foamy head of beer on one end of any raw cut of the stone. Deep within the amber center, darker swirls of iron-rich sediment rotate slowly, counterbalancing the bubbly aesthetic with a sense of internal weight.

Common Description

This honey-amber stone is riddled with silvery inclusions that drift upward through the grain, topped by a pitted white crust that mimics the effervescent fizz of a fresh brew.
