Originally released with Drathrok's Duskruin 455.
Popular rumors attribute the origin of niveium to the lost Dwarven village of Nenav Dalar. However, knowledgeable metalsmiths note that the properties of the frosted metal are closer to what they would expect to see in a flawed attempt to apply the famed Adamantia steel technique to translucent icesteel. It can be polished smooth, but it seldom achieves a glossy finish.
Common Description
Within the body of the metal, translucent silvery planes and snowy white patches form subtle geometric inclusions reminiscent of trapped ice or fractured glacier glass. Fine streaks of darker grey and occasional solid black veining run irregularly through the structure, lending depth and contrast beneath the frosted surface. When worked into larger pieces, the material presents a layered, ice-like clarity shot through with shadowed lines, as though winter itself were suspended within the metal's matrix.
