PUT BLOODLOCK ON SPELLBOOK:

You attach one of the bindings of the platinum dragon bloodlock on to the back cover of your [cover style's base material] spellbook. Suddenly the mechanism snaps back, the dragon's jaws clenching down with relentless ferocity upon the spellbook's front cover, locking it shut.

UNLOCK SPELLBOOK WITH KEY:

You insert a ruby-inset dragon's claw spellbook key into the keyhole of the platinum dragon bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A crimson flash emits from the platinum dragon's ruby eyes as you turn the key. The beast's fearsome jaws relax their hold on the spellbook as a fierce grinding emanates from the lock's mechanism.

OPEN BLOODLOCK (on spellbook):

You carefully detach the binding from the spellbook's front cover, releasing the platinum dragon's visceral grip and leaving the bloodlock to dangle loosely from the back cover.

CLOSE BLOODLOCK (on spellbook):

You pull the bloodlock over to the front cover of the spellbook, latching the binding to the front cover and securing the dragon's vicious maw over the spellbook's front end.

LOCK SPELLBOOK WITH KEY:

You insert a ruby-inset dragon's claw spellbook key into the keyhole of the platinum dragon bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A crimson flash emits from the platinum dragon's ruby eyes as you turn the key. The mechanism locks shut with a fierce grinding sound.
