Appearance

Crystal Witch Kiashandra, Death Dealer, an Elothean.
Kia possesses a generous mouth and striking, tilted almond-shaped eyes of deep violet, their color shimmering with an almost otherworldly intensity. A dusting of freckles graces the bridge of her nose, softening her otherwise fierce presence.
Her golden hair, streaked with fiery red-gold, cascades in long, fine strands, though she keeps it elegantly restrained in a simple pulled-back style. A trio of goldenglow glaes chains secures the arrangement, each delicate link suspending lustrous celestial riftstone charms that catch the light like captured stardust.
Her tanned skin bears the marks of both sun and strength, but it is the striking fire-roses—vivid scarlet blooms glowing like embers banked against the wind—that set her apart, scattered across her lissome frame like a whisper of flame.
Tall for an Elothean, she moves with effortless grace, her presence both commanding and enigmatic. Tiny murder crows, exquisitely carved from shadowy seordstones, drift lazily around her neck, their dark forms a silent omen of unseen forces at work.
She is middle-aged, though time has only deepened the quiet power she carries. Upon her right hip, a tattoo of a massive sea turtle clutches a crescent moon in its jaws—a silent, enduring symbol of mystery, strength, and the tides of fate.

Facts:

  • Birthdate: Kia was born on the 23rd day of the 2nd month of Ka'len the Sea Drake, in the year of the Golden Panther—317 years after the legendary victory of Lanival the Redeemer. Her birth was marked by rolling tides and a sky streaked with gold, an omen, perhaps, of the fate that would shape her destiny.

  • Familiar: Ever at her side is Khepri, the enigmatic golden panther—more than just a familiar, she is a guardian, a shadow in battle, and a silent force of nature. Whether prowling ahead or resting at Kia’s feet, her presence is a constant, unwavering bond of strength and loyalty.

  • Ogres: Kia harbors an unquenchable hatred for ogres, a rage carved into her soul by years of torment at their monstrous hands. As a young Warrior Mage, she fell to them more times than she can count, each death searing her resolve. Now, she hunts them with relentless fury, going out of her way to eradicate the vile creatures wherever they lurk. To Kia, there is no such thing as an innocent ogre—only a threat waiting to be cut down.

  • Quote: "They came to watch me burn, but did not realize I had become the inferno," reflects Kia's defiance and strength. It speaks to those who once sought her downfall, believing she would be consumed by her past or struggles. What they didn’t realize was that, instead of breaking her, she became the very fire they feared—untamable and unstoppable.

Familiar:

Fir Familiar Quest

  • As a young Warrior Mage, Kia embarked on a sacred quest to summon a fir familiar, an essential rite of passage. She expected to call forth a creature of the ordinary sort, but fate had other plans. To her astonishment, she summoned a golden panther — an extraordinary rarity, shimmering like sunlight on burnished metal.

  • Khepri is a vision of raw power and elegance. Her sleek, golden fur is adorned with subtle rosette markings, a near tone-on-tone pattern that catches the light in mesmerizing ways. Beneath her languid, fluid movements lies a strength both formidable and precise. Her piercing violet eyes gleam with intelligence, betraying a mind as sharp as her claws.

  • Fiercely loyal and ever watchful, Khepri stands as an unyielding guardian over Kia and the small but spirited Bastet. She is more than a companion—she is a sentinel, a protector, and a force to be reckoned with, standing unwavering at Kia’s side in battle and beyond.

  • When the moonlight filters through the trees, Khepri moves like a living shadow, her golden coat catching silver streaks as she prowls the canopy. Though fierce in battle, in the quiet of the night, she is a creature of deep affection—resting her great head against Kia’s side, a silent promise of unwavering devotion. At times, Kia swears she can hear the soft hum of ancient magic in Khepri’s purr, a bond between them older than memory itself.

History

Bastet.png
  • Kia's past is shrouded in mystery. Stricken with amnesia, she has no recollection of her childhood—whether she was abandoned by her family or if something so devastating occurred that her mind erased it entirely. The truth remains a void she cannot fill.

  • The questions linger, unanswered, as Kia searches for the missing pieces of her story, each attempt to uncover the truth only deepening the mystery. There are whispers, perhaps from her dreams or fragments of forgotten moments, but they remain elusive. Those who have crossed her path sometimes speak of a deep sorrow in her eyes, as if the weight of her past presses heavily on her spirit. Yet, no one knows the true nature of her loss, and Kia herself is left to carry this heavy silence, hoping for answers that may never come.

  • Solitude has long been Kia's way of life. She has spent years wandering the wilderness, honing her survival skills through relentless training, hunting prey through dense forests, and navigating the untamed backwoods alone. The only warmth in her isolated existence comes from her feline companions—Bastet, a spirited kitten, and Khepri, her silent, watchful golden panther familiar.

  • On the 10th month of Nissa the Maiden, in the year of the Amber Phoenix, 423, Kia's fate took an unexpected turn. She was welcomed into a new kind of family, adopted as a little sister to Starrfire, marking a pivotal moment in her journey—one that would shape her future in ways she never anticipated.

Home

Kia's home.png
  • After countless moons of searching, Kia at last discovered the perfect treehouse — a hidden sanctuary nestled high among the branches. Its sturdy limbs and serene surroundings make it an ideal refuge, and Khepri, ever watchful, spends most of her time lounging lazily in its canopy, surveying their domain from above. Her home is a massive weeping willow tree with numerous long, flowing branches, creating an expansive, sweeping effect. The branches cascade down in elegant, thick strands, creating a dense, lush canopy. The tree towers over its surroundings, with branches extending widely in every direction, creating a majestic and dramatic effect. The leaves are delicate and hang down gracefully, with light filtering through them, when the sunlight hits just right.

  • The countryside near her home is lined with hedges of primroses and cat’s-ear, their fragrant blossoms swaying in the breeze. Tiny brown woodmice dart out to snatch seeds before vanishing into their flowery refuge. Leaves rustle softly, interrupted by the flutter of wings. A tall acanth tree looms nearby, its gnarled branches sheltering a murder of crows. Not far off, her own home, a great weeping willow drapes its long, whispering tendrils toward the earth, home to sleek ravens watching the world below. Beneath its canopy, ivy and wild violets weave over exposed roots, creating a cool, hidden retreat. Nestled among the trees, an old oak log rests, softened by moss and time. Tiny fungi sprout along its bark, a quiet sanctuary for beetles and perhaps a hidden toad. The landscape feels timeless, a secret world where nature thrives undisturbed.

Relatives

Sister to Starrfire. As Starrfire’s adopted sister, Kiashandra shares a deep bond shaped by challenges and an unspoken understanding.

Kiashandra first met Starrfire in the training grounds of the old warrior mage guild, their paths crossing in the midst of morning drills. Kiashandra was focused on perfecting a defensive stance when a sudden, searing bolt of energy shot past her—too close for comfort.

"Sorry about that," came a voice from across the courtyard. A girl with wild honey-streaked platinum hair jogged over, offering a sheepish grin. "Still working on control."

Kiashandra eyed the scorch mark in the dirt beside her. "Clearly."

Rather than irritation, there was a spark of amusement in her tone, and Starrfire caught it. "You’re quick on your feet, at least," she said, tilting her head. "Want to train together?"

Kiashandra hesitated, then nodded. What started as a simple sparring partnership soon became something more—late-night study sessions and an unshakable camaraderie built on mutual respect.

By the time their training was complete, they were more than just allies in the wilds—they were sisters.
