A jacquard fabric woven from sunfire fibers. Suitable for clothing, especially jackets, vests, dresses, and skirts, it is not suitable for underclothes or other similar garments requiring softness.
Common Description
Thick and richly worked with gold and silver threads, the heavily figured textile is worked with a motif of rayed suns. The solar design is heightened by the illusionary effect of sunlight playing across the surface of the textile caused by the sunfire fibers. The richly worked pattern stands out against the darker background, rising from the lustrous golden yellows and oranges of the textile almost as if the design was embossed rather than woven.
