STUDY bolus (Necromancer)
The obsidian bolus is commonly used to impart the knowledge necessary to modify the appearance of pets or items summoned via compatible spells or abilities. The obsidian bolus is intended to alter the appearance of minions summoned by the Call from Within spell. You are rather sure you could INVOKE the obsidian bolus. Were the obsidian bolus to be activated, the following modifications would be made: -

Base Description: "a lithe obsidian scorpion"
Long Description: "a lithe obsidian scorpion coated in a viscous acidic secretion"
LOOK Description: "This sinuous being is covered in a pattern of black ossified plates that articulate with unnatural fluidity. Jagged pincers around its mouth, dripping with thick saliva, slither against each other with ravenous anticipation, while strong front claws stretch strings of mucus as they slowly splay out. A segmented tail curves upward, culminating in a wickedly barbed bone spike glistening with ichor. Skeletal legs quickly carry it about with uncanny precision, allowing it to become motionless in an instant."
