Hostess
You are Lady of Elamiri Ayrell Evyntine, Archmagess of Ilithi, an Elf. You have elegant arched eyebrows, pointed ears and exquisite lashes accentuating lustrous sapphire eyes. Your deep blue-streaked raven hair is hip length and wavy, and is worn in an elegant upswept arrangement threaded with an ornate silversteel chain twined with pale mistglass Elamiri roses. You have fair skin and a gracefully slender figure. You are an adult. You have a tattoo of a white rose encircled by a blood-stained thorny vine on your ankle. You are in good shape.
You are wearing some delicate violet's heart amethyst earrings set in lucent moonsilver chains, a pale orchid ialalhe gown edged in heartstring lace, a spiraling lilac moonsilver engagement band crowned by a blue Elamiri sapphire, a lifesculpted moonsilver wedding band cradling a trillion-cut twilight sapphire and some pale lavender gemfire velvet boots laced with steelsilk cords.
Arrival
[Milene's Rose, Tavern]
Roomy and rectangular, the tavern for Milene's Rose is always busy, but strangely never so full that it becomes unbearably crowded. A booth in the corner allows for privacy, and a bar offers service for the thirsty and the hungry. There is little sign of disarray anywhere. You also see a storm-grey cat with gold-flecked crystal blue eyes, a russet lynx that is sitting and the publican.
Also here: Knight of Meraud Tirost who has a stony visage, Philosopher Yvela, Otherion, Lady of the Watch Dantia, Philomath Miskton, Roughneck Rileos, Mother Superior Jaelia who is emanating a benevolent holy aura, Valynn, Belzor who is surrounded by a shimmering shield, Bastion of Life Karthor, Heart Tender Kethrai, Mystic Aegis Onara and Truthseeker Elurora whose figure is gracefully highlighted in a soft aurora of silvery-violet light.

Presentation
You say, "I have been doing a great deal of thinking over everything I have learned and heard from the various research those around me have done as well as the reading I have engaged in while attempting to solve this growing mystery. There are a few points which stand out to me that I would like to address."
Gwenddolyn says, "I think this will take far longer than the hour."
Xionara stands near Malorna.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
You ask, "Although the Kather, Anmuva, did not have any direct information to provide us, he did teach us one very important thing - the Kather are no closer to an answer than ourselves. He spoke of bad water and dead fish which, presumably, could reference what we are experiencing with our magic. As sorcery is said to damage a dragon's domain, my thoughts on his statement of, "some smell like eat dead fish and swim in bad water," to be a reference to those in attendance upon whom he could detect the 'stench' of sorcery. In follow-up to this, he asked, "why fish dead and water bad?"
Strawberry Nurse Illiya just arrived.
Illiya waves.
Illiya smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Waydren nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Avrenka says to Illiya, "Just in time."
Darkewolff gazes at you.
Jaelia hugs Illiya, getting a smile in return.
You say, "In this, Anmuva was asking us the very question we were hoping to ask of him. "Why are the fish dead and the water bad?" - Why are the mana streams so unstable? What is causing this uncontrollable wild magic? What is upsetting the balance? But, he did provide an interesting viewpoint. He stated, "water source seem bad - like logs building dam at fork. All fish dying. Dragon think you do it - Sundreamers think Moon do." It is from this that I have continued to draw upon with regard to the theory slowly building in my mind."
Jaelia just hugged Avrenka.
Avrenka nods to Jaelia.
Onara smiles at Darkewolff, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Ezerak grins at Elurora, his dimples flashing into view.

Allye nods to you.
Kethrai angles his ears forward in curiosity.
You say, "Briefly, I will touch upon the Kather lore that I addressed in lesser detail after Anmuva took his leave."
Elurora tilts her head, clearly curious about something.
Waydren sweeps his hand under his chin and then holds his two thumbs side by side.
Rileos takes a sip of his water.
Elurora smiles at Illiya.
Illiya gestures.
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Elurora nods at Illiya, obviously agreeing with her views.
You say, "In - our - lore, it said that the four moons - Katamba, Yavash, Xibar, and Grazhir - were created by the Immortals. Kertigen, to be more specific. And, while there are several theories as to how the World Dragon came to be inside the moon Grazhir, one of the most prevalent tales portrays the Dragon being placed there by the hand of Huldah. From there, we have all heard the story of how the World Dragon then "hatched" from Grazhir, raining destruction upon the world, and leading to a battle between the Immortals and the Dragon that blackened Katamba and led to the Immortals accepting the Dragon was too powerful to destroy, therefore, they chose to put it to sleep, instead."
Elurora touches Belzor with a confident grace and familiar smile.
Elurora smiles at Belzor.
(Tirost swirls his bourbon, but his attention remains fixed on Ayrell.)
Belzor smiles at Elurora.
Otherion appears deeply contemplative for several moments.
Elurora nods to you.
Kethrai gets a flute of silver wine from atop a bar.
Onara takes a sip of her wine.
Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.
Yvela folds her arms across her chest.
Darkewolff takes a sip of his brandy.
You say, "In the Kather lore, this story goes a bit differently. Whereas we attribute the life around us to the Immortals, the Kather worship the Dragons as the most ancient and perfect beings, born from the pure flames of the Sun which "destroyed the nothingness" - perhaps a variation on the story of the creation of the Immortals, involving the One and the Void, but that story is perhaps for another time. The Kather lore states that these Sun Dragons then used their Fires of Life to create the planets and all life contained upon them, ruling over all throughout the ages, and giving more and more life within their purifying fires."
Tirost glances at Yvela.
Tirost smiles.
Valynn gazes thoughtfully at you.
Xionara looks thoughtfully at you.
Jaelia nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
You say, "A Kather myth, documented by the one Pralel Erigowia, tells of a Moon Dragon, though in a different light than the story of the World Dragon we have all come to know. For the Kather myth speaks of a set of beings referred to as 'the upstarts.' 'Foul creatures,' said to have fought against the 'Creators and Maintainers'."
Xionara angles her ears forward in curiosity.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
Otherion strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.
You say, "According to the Kather, these upstarts 'defiled' the perfect existence created by the Dragons by forming four moons to 'steal the glory of the Sun.' And it was within the creation of a Moon Dragon, formed inside one of their 'filthy moons' that the upstarts declared war against the 'Creators, the Dragons.' The Kather refer to this Moon Dragon as 'blasphemy against the true Dragons,' leaving the gods - the Dragons - no choice but to take hand against the upstarts and end their profanation of existence."
Jaelia nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
You say, "The war between the Sun Dragons and the upstarts with their Moon Dragon was said to have been long and harsh, but that the upstarts could not withstand the powers of the Dragons. In the end, the myth states the upstarts were defeated, cast from the planet, and forbidden from ever returning. Of course, this leads to a great many questions concerning the discrepancies between the Kather version of things and our version of what occurred with the World Dragon, but that is actually not why I delved into this particular story this evening."
Elurora furrows her brow.
Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.
Waydren says, "You embelish some but tell the story true besides."
Waydren smiles at you.
Darkewolff whispers something to Belzor.
Belzor nods to Darkewolff.
Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.
Belzor takes a drink of some water.
You say, "Respectfully, that is nearly verbatim, including quotes from the myth."
Tirost takes a sip of his reserve.
You smile at Waydren.
Malorna gets a mug of zombie's revenge from atop a bar.
Dantia takes a sip of her reserve.
Waydren bows to you.
Illiya gets a glass of iced strawberry lemonade decorated with sugared fruit from inside her encompassing shadows.
You say, "The reason for my interest in this was Anmuva's mention of the Kather Sundreamers believing the "moon did it," regarding the... bad water and dead fish. According to Anmuva, the Dragons blame us. But their Sundreamers blame the moon. By moon, do they refer to the Moon Dragon - our World Dragon? Or do they refer to these 'upstarts' that bear a curious similarity in story to our Immortals? Personally, I lean toward the Immortals - but not in a blame sense. Though, as that may be confusing, please bear with me while I explain."
Valynn gets a flagon of Elven frostwynne from inside her traveler's pack.
Darkewolff inhales deeply of the drink.
Xionara gets a gilded goblet of dark red absinthe from inside some nebulous enshrouding clouds of soft white smokewhorl.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Xionara hiccups.
Darkewolff smiles at a snifter of Milene's brandy.
Onara grins at Darkewolff, her dimples flashing into view.
Xionara gets a gilded goblet of dark red absinthe from inside some nebulous enshrouding clouds of soft white smokewhorl.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Onara takes a sip of her wine.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Jaelia nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
You say, "Many of us have heard of the frightening visions and conclusions that have been drawn from the various research being conducted on this... wild magic. Much of what has been found appears to simply be examples that paint a picture in whatever way each individual researcher understands with the greatest impact. A feeling of something catastrophic that each of us relates to on a more intimate, guild, or racial level. For example, the lesson that prickles at the minds of some concerning the lore of the Sraan Mehath."
Jaelia takes a sip of her honeywine.
Belzor pets his russet lynx.
Xionara hiccups.
Xionara wobbles, looking a bit faint.
Xionara takes a seat.
Tirost nods to Yvela.
You say, "For those who may not be familiar with the Sraan Mehath, you may be more familiar with them as the S'Kra Mur Wind Clan. The Clan that was destroyed in its entirety during the Elven-Human War with the invocation of a spell of destruction that is said to have incinerated everyone within a quarter mile radius."
Darkewolff nods.
Tirost nods to you.
You say, "But that is only the start of my concern. For there are other details that have come from various research efforts that lead my thoughts down a path more frightening than the destruction of everyone within a quarter mile radius. Some have uncovered reason to believe of some kind of eonic plan that stretches back to the dark histories - gods and demons, mortals and monsters, all helpless before it. Others have thought of a time with Katamba unburnt and Grazhir whole, the golden age of near-effortless Lunar miracles. All lost now, and the threads are converging on a similarly disastrous trajectory."
Avrenka nods.
Elurora gazes thoughtfully at you.
Rileos frowns.
You say, "This makes me think that we are facing something of a much larger scale. Something wholly disastrous to life as we know it, if gods and demons, mortals and monsters, are all helpless before it. A trajectory similar in disaster to that which stemmed from the World Dragon - a creature of which the Immortals were unable to truly defeat - merely subdue. But then, there is another clue in the research -."
Darkewolff glances at Rileos.
Darkewolff glances at you.
Valynn furrows her brow.
Waydren taps both hips, points forward and waggles his finger, sweeps his hand under his chin, holds his two index fingers side by side and then points off in the distance.
Xionara ponders.
Illiya gazes at you.
You ask, "Clerics to whom I have spoken relayed to me that they have attributed the changes in Holy mana's behavior to an 'upward' lurch in the flow. That something is 'stymieing or etiolating' the Font of Creation, and Divinity itself is suffering for it. Stymieing - preventing or hindering the progress of. Etiolate - to cause to become weakened or sickly. Drained of color or vigor. So - something that is hindering or weakening the Font of Creation, that Divinity also suffers for. Divinity... the Immortals? Considering that the Font of Creation is something I have always been led to believe involved the Immortals. The source from which life sprung. Something... preventing? Hindering? Weakening - like, in Anmuva's words, 'logs building dam at fork'?"
Tirost frowns.
Darkewolff ponders.
Waydren raises an eyebrow.
Elurora chews on her lip, looking deep in concentration.
Belzor scratches his russet lynx.
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.
You say, "That brings me to where my thoughts remain at present: Could the Immortals be in some kind of danger? Because, I think we can all agree that if something is powerful enough to threaten the Immortals, it would certainly threaten the existence of all other life as we know it. But then... what is powerful enough to threaten the Immortals? The World Dragon? Yes, but I mostly discard this possibility as - to me - it seems the waking of the World Dragon would affect more than just our connection to mana. We would feel it in other ways, environmentally. Earthquakes. Dramatic shifts in weather. Natural disasters to indicate the world was about to be shaken from its very core."
Elurora gazes down at the floor.
Elurora nods to you.
Xionara clutches her throat, eyes wide with shock.
Darkewolff raises an eyebrow.
Miskton nods.
You say, "While I wish I could say I have a finite conclusion, the unfortunate reality is that - none of us really know. But I have found myself speculating some things that have occurred in the recent past - the last ten to fifteen years - that could potentially affect beings as powerful as the Immortals. The time phenomenon with the Gorbesh, perhaps? Such changes and disruptions to time, itself. Alternate timelines. The crossing of alternate planes of existence with alternate histories, alternate presents, and alternate futures. Planes with boundaries that were never intended to cross. The very necessity of that separation was the reason the Void shed tears which ultimately are said to have become the Immortals... with the help of the essence of the One, of course."
Onara takes a sip of her wine.
The publican places a snifter of Milene's brandy on the bar.
Waydren asks you, "The "upstarts" came from somewhere. Perhaps more of their kin, as the Kather might call it? Others of their kind, left out of the initial exodus?"
Onara gets a snifter of Milene's brandy from atop a bar.
Darkewolff smiles at Onara.
Onara smiles at Darkewolff, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Tirost gazes thoughtfully at Waydren.
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
You say, "Even our explorations of the Nascent Unknown showed us windows that looked to view places outside the realm of our own world. Different times, different planes. Something that was never intended by the Void or the One for us to see or experience. And if something is powerful enough to affect the planes and time as a whole - what if the meddling that... 'something'... is doing has caused a stymieing or etiolation of the Immortals themselves? What if they need our help but cannot reach us because of this... crossing of planes? And, even if they could, what actions can we, as mere mortals, possibly take to aid in a battle of that... complexity. That... magnitude."
You nod to Waydren.
Tirost nods to you.
Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.
You say, "This is where my research stands at present. I continue to look for more information that might lead me down a path to uncover what all this could mean. My theory addresses a potential reason for 'what' is happening, but as yet does not provide an answer as to 'how' or 'why' or... 'who,' though I intend to continue pondering the possibilities. In the meantime, I think it is important that we continue to maintain our faith. Pursue a greater number of vigils to provide our offerings and support in case that proves to be the key in aiding the strength of the Immortals. However, this is merely my take on the matter."
Ezerak takes a sip of his brandy.
You say, "As always, I am open to hearing other views that I may have overlooked or not thought of due to the path my own thoughts have trod. All that I have said is purely speculation based on knowledge I have pieced together that seems to make sense to me - but that hardly makes it the answer. I share it only in hopes that it may help others in their journey for answers as well."
You nod politely.
Open Floor Discussions
Elurora moves a cup of honeyed milk to her right hand.
Avrenka says, "Well spoken, and great research Ayrell."
Otherion nods.
Waydren says to you, "When no beast known to walk the territory begins killing prey, one must look for predators normally outside the bounds. Perhaps it is true here as well. Other upstarts. Others who have their own view of the order of Creations."
You smile at Avrenka.
Xionara nods to you.
Darkewolff takes a bite of the cupcake.
Waydren raises an eyebrow in your direction.
Gwenddolyn nods in agreement.
Xionara perks her ears up happily as she gazes at you.
Tirost nods to Avrenka.
Darkewolff takes a bite of the cupcake.
Darkewolff inhales deeply of the drink.
Avrenka says, "I have my own theory, however."
Rileos says, "I hope you're right and I can swap places with the me that made better decisions."
Ezerak looks at you and applauds!
You nod at Waydren, in complete agreement with his views.
Rileos takes a sip of his water.
Dantia grins at Rileos.
Raising her honeyed milk to you, Elurora gives you a toast. Cheers!
Darkewolff smiles at Rileos.
Avrenka asks you, "If I may?"
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Miskton inhales deeply of the drink.
You chuckle at Rileos.
You notice as a russet lynx scratches itself.
You nod to Avrenka.
You say to Avrenka, "Of course."
Onara stands near Darkewolff.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
Avrenka says, "My own research has led me reading on books from Gealeranendae College of Magical History."
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
Avrenka says, "A treatise of elements, some of you may know."
You nod to Avrenka.
Darkewolff takes a bite of the cupcake.
Avrenka says, "From what I understand, the last time a Mana Storm ravaged our lands was when Lyras opened a conduit to The Hunger, or Maelshyve the demon."
Jaelia nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Avrenka says, "I believe that was due to a weakening of the Planar Void that insulates the Planes from each other."
Valynn takes a sip of her frostwynne.
Tirost gazes at Avrenka.
Avrenka says, "Once upon a time, many years ago, mythical stones were erected in Zaulfun to counteract this weakening."
Avrenka says, "Perhaps some further investigation of areas where the planar void is weak is warranted."
You nod to Avrenka.
Otherion ponders.
You say to Avrenka, "That is an excellent idea."
You notice as a russet lynx scratches itself.
Tirost asks you, "I would like to offer another perspective, if I may?"
You say to Tirost, "Of course."
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
You smile at Tirost.
Avrenka says, "The books themselves and the research from mages in that college note that this all started from Blackfire practioners that needed the spell Voidspell to counteract them."
Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.
You nod to Avrenka.
Belzor pets his russet lynx.
Belzor scratches his russet lynx.
Xionara frowns.
Avrenka says, "This Voidspell weakened the boundaries, which Maelshyve took advantage of and entered our Plane."
Sir Madigan just arrived.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Madigan raises his hand in a quick salute.
Karthor nods to Madigan.
You curtsy gracefully to Madigan.
Madigan gently kisses Dantia on the cheek.
Madigan moves into position to block attacks against Dantia!
Dantia touches Madigan with a confident grace and heartfelt smile.
An almost visible connection between Dantia and Madigan seems to thrum through the air.
Madigan bows to you.
Tirost says, "Suulnir, the Dragon Priest Ecclesiarch specifically mentioned glorious creation will be wrought..."
Dantia smiles at Madigan.
Avrenka says, "I believe we are now experiencing further disruptions to the Planar Void ... and outside Forces will take advantage."
The wounds afflicting Madigan gradually fade, corresponding injuries blooming on Dantia's flesh.
Avrenka nods to Tirost.
Karthor says, "Ah good, I'm not completely bonkers. Tha's exactly where my mind goes too."
Karthor stands near Tirost.
Kethrai nods at Karthor, obviously agreeing with his views.
Valynn looks with concern at Avrenka.
Onara grins at Darkewolff, her dimples flashing into view.
Tirost says, "And the pivuh, which I understood to be controled by her enemies, spoke of her experiments with the dragon and the divine."
Valynn gazes at Tirost.
Otherion observes Tirost with fascination.
Darkewolff smiles at Onara.
Kethrai nods at Tirost, obviously agreeing with his views.
You say to Avrenka, "I am inclined to agree, as it seemed to appear that some force attempted to take advantage of our vulnerability when this first peaked, by sending the plague wraiths."
Yvela ponders.
You nod to Tirost.
Rileos raises his hand.
Valynn nods politely to Madigan.
Tirost says, "Much of what Suulnir has spoken of us seems to be happening..."
Madigan smiles at Valynn.
Madigan hugs Valynn, getting a smile in return.
Xionara angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Tirost.
Valynn grins at Madigan.
You nod to Tirost.
Valynn hugs Madigan, who wraps his arms around Valynn with a warm smile.
Tirost snaps to attention and hails Madigan with a crisp hand salute.
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Valynn takes a sip of her frostwynne.
Valynn gazes at Tirost.
Karthor says, "Aye, such "creation of somethin' divine" or whatnot seems like the sort o' thing tha'd take away from the immortals, to tie the perspectives together."
You say to Tirost, "I have sent a letter in hopes of obtaining an audience with the Ecclesiarch. We can only hope she will be more willing to provide information, if they suffer any effects as we do from this."
Avrenka says, "It is possible the World Dragon is taking advantage of this weakening in Planar Void, much like Maelshyve did with the Voidspell weakening the Planar Void."
Tirost nods to Karthor.
Kethrai says to Tirost, "Specifically, Suulnir seemed to be trying to learn more of antinomic sorcery, and ways that Ael'tharaxus could be elevated to godhood."
Elurora rubs her head.
Kethrai says, "Which could come back to what Waydren was describing of a... new creature, a new predator in the environment."
Avrenka asks, "What if ... the World Dragon is awakening?"
Waydren bows to Kethrai.
You nod at Kethrai, in complete agreement with his views.
Onara raises an eyebrow.
Miskton says to Avrenka, "Possibly someone trying to help the World Dragon, but we've seen the results of the World Dragon starting to stir, and it was dramatic in a rather different way."
Ezerak nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.
Tirost says to Kethrai, "Could that cause the effects we're witnessing? Glorious magic creation... those words are hard to forget, and we are hearing now about the Font of Creation, and experiencing new and wild fluctuations in magic."
Avrenka says to Miskton, "The mana storms are from the Bulwark buckling ... and the World Dragon may take advantage."
Darkewolff says, "Well that's lovely."
You say to Avrenka, "I touched on that a little. While it is not impossible, it does seem like we would be feeling other effects from the waking. Though, we cannot discount that perhaps those effects simply... have not started yet."
Rileos says to Miskton, "You ever wake up and just lie there without movin for a while? Could be like that."
Miskton says, "Volcanic eruptions, ash blotting out the sky... Though the latter might have been boosted by Dergati's assistance."
Belzor pets his russet lynx.
Otherion observes Miskton with fascination.
Madigan gets some Kygar's roast coffee from inside his traveler's pack.
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Onara takes a sip of her brandy.
You nod to Rileos.
Kethrai asks Avrenka, "But the World Dragon is on this plane, and the Bulwark is meant to shore up our plane against those from outside, isn't it?"
Otherion comes and stands near you.
Otherion clears his throat.
Avrenka asks Kethrai, "How do you know World Dragon is of our plane?"
Rileos says, "I got a question, if nobody is theorizin at this moment."
Valynn gazes at Otherion.
Kethrai blinks.
Kethrai points down.
You notice as a russet lynx looks upward negligently.
Elurora quietly asks, "Not that I know as much about magic as many of you, but my own limited researched into the subject implied that magic has been used in an unbalanced way and Anmuva spoke of the balance being off too it seemed. Maybe it isn't some big demon, what if it's just us over years and years and we need to figure out a way to bring that balance back?"
You smile at Rileos.
Allye gazes down at the floor.
You nod to Rileos.
Kethrai asks, "It's sleeping in the core of the planet, isn't it?"
Avrenka asks Kethrai, "How do you know it's sleeping in our core?"
Tirost asks you, "If Sulnnir refuses your request, is it possible you could reach out to the other faction that opposes her?"
Darkewolff glances at Elurora.
You say to Elurora, "That is also a possibility."
Otherion seems to be waiting for something.
You nod to Tirost.
Rileos asks, "For the more planar travellin folk, since we're talkin about the boundaries between the planes and all this, is it just as bad elsewhere?"
Miskton says, "Because someone trying to wake it up resulted in the aforementioned earthquakes and volcanic eruptions."
Xionara angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Otherion.
Valynn grins at Otherion.
You say to Tirost, "I can see what I can do."
Tirost nods to you.
Valynn holds a finger up to her lips.
Waydren says to Elurora, "Anmuva was not speaking of the current situation when he spoke of Balance. That is a topic with an entirely different meaning to him, of which there is much nuance and context."
Gwenddolyn nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.
Kethrai says, "I dunno, cause that's what... all the histories say? I suppose I can't prove it's on our plane, any more than I can prove it wasn't a two-headed jackal rather than a dragon."
Jaelia says to Rileos, "Because I agree with almost all of that, have for awhile but to state such would have been considered insane and no one would have allowed me near any source of public service or trust, perhaps? It was information I needed to hear, and it allows me to reframe my Vigil more honestly. Thank you Lady Ayrell, I am eterally grateful. Please excuse my leave."
Waydren bows to Elurora.
Rileos says, "Cause I only been off this plane a little bit recently and didn't check."
Valynn motions to Otherion.
Otherion bows to Valynn.
Otherion glances at you.
Otherion seems to be waiting for something.
Valynn nods to Otherion.
You smile at Jaelia.
Ezerak says to Tirost, "A bit more difficult, without knowing who exactly to contact, but it might bear fruit."
Tirost says to you, "If you could use any help, in writing or diplomacy, I am at your service."
Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Otherion.
Rileos peers quizzically at Jaelia.
Tirost nods to Ezerak.
You smile at Tirost.
Valynn clears her throat.
You say to Tirost, "Thank you."
Yvela says, "That may be the worst scenario, if it's happening because of our regular activities. History's shown demons are easier to fell than enacting change."
Tirost bows to you.
Elurora gives Yvela a slight nod.
Avrenka says to Kethrai, "It's hard to imagine a regular being would be able to stand toe to toe with the 13 immortals."
Jaelia curtsies.
Mother Superior Jaelia goes east.
You smile at Otherion.
Miskton says to Avrenka, "There was a whole series of events, interfering with Peri'el's ability to keep the World Dragon asleep, a new race created by Dergati trying to take advantage of the spreading darkness..."
Illiya asks you, "What do you make of the Dragons and the Sundreamers blaming different sources for the cause of the magic distrubance? And who would you believe?"
Valynn leans against a bar.
Onara takes a sip of her brandy.
Tirost smiles at Yvela.
Darkewolff smirks.
Dantia says, "The research conducted by Empaths has determined that the threat is one to the very cycle of life and death itself. That seems to me to point to something more foundational than... something big to fight. Something to the very way of our existence."
Otherion glances at you.
You say to Illiya, "I think it is merely an example of the fact that they are speculating and making guesses, much the way we are now as well."
Avrenka says, "I wouldn't be surprised if the World Dragon was otherplanar."
Waydren nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Illiya nods to you.
You ask Otherion, "Did you have a theory you wished to address?"
You smile at Otherion.
Valynn whispers, "Otherion seems to want to say something?"
Otherion beams at you! What a warm feeling!
Otherion gives you a measured bow, deepening it ever so slightly to display additional respect.
Valynn grins at you.
Otherion says, "My lady..."
Otherion says, "I have come here to request aid, in researching the topic at hand."
Onara eyes Otherion. Something unreadable passes between the two Elotheans.
Avrenka asks, "After all, what kind of being is "hatched" from a moon?"
Tirost gazes at Otherion.
You say, "I apologize, it is not my intent to ignore anyone. I am merely attempting to give everyone an opportunity to speak as much as possible, so we can all be heard."
Ezerak raises an eyebrow.
Darkewolff asks, "Moonsliver?"
Elurora nods to you.
You smile.
You nod to Otherion.
Otherion says to you, "In three andaen I will be launching an expedition to the Planar Observatory, but I require assistance."
Otherion's large eyes drift, scanning the area with an intense yet aimless gaze.
Miskton says to Avrenka, "It's possible it doesn't entirely exist on this plane, perhaps. But it definitely has a physical presence here."
You ask Otherion, "What kind of assistance might we be able to offer?"
Otherion ponders.
Tirost takes a sip of his reserve.
Madigan takes a sip of his coffee.
Otherion says, "It is problematic for me to visit that place myself. I require others to go in my stead."
Avrenka says to Miskton, "Other planar beings exist on our plane thru conduits ... one large conduit may lurk in our core, dormant."
Elurora smiles at Waydren.
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Yvela nods to Tirost.
Waydren grins at Elurora.
Kethrai gazes silently at Otherion.
Valynn whispers, "I did not mean to intrude, my apologies."
Tirost softly asks Otherion, "Problematic... how?"
Malorna jumps back a few feet and lands on her rump, looking dazed!
Malorna stands up.
Rileos puts his almanac in his hunting pack.
Otherion's large eyes lock on Tirost with an intense, unblinking gaze.
You notice as a russet lynx begins to pant.
You quietly say to Dantia, "I would like to return to your point once an opportunity arises again."
Ezerak takes a sip of his brandy.
Otherion smiles.
Onara gets a snifter of Milene's brandy from atop a bar.
Dantia nods to you.
Karthor closes his eyes for a moment and grows still.
Dantia quietly says to you, "There is no rush."
Darkewolff takes a sip of his brandy.
Otherion says to Tirost, "I have angered the denizens of that realm."
Tirost says, "Ah."
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
Valynn raises an eyebrow.
Elurora cocks her head at Otherion.
Tirost nods to Otherion.
Miskton says, "But unless we hear word from the Ru'atin Peri'el about something changing with her song again, I think the World Dragon is probably not yet the issue. Though it certainly could become so, if the Immortals are disrupted by all of this."
Waydren says to Otherion, "Wise to not walk into the den of lions you have riled."
You whisper to Valynn, "It was no intrusion at all."
Avrenka says, "All moon mages who have learned the ways of the Astral Plane have."
You smile at Valynn.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
Otherion bows to Waydren.
Elurora nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.
Tirost nods to Waydren.
Yvela nods to Tirost.
You nod at Miskton, in complete agreement with his views.
Valynn smiles at you.
Otherion says to you, "I had hoped that there would be some here who would provide assistance. Thank you for letting me speak."
Otherion bows.
You nod politely to Otherion.
The publican places a cup of rosehip tea on the bar.
Otherion gets a cup of rosehip tea from atop a bar.
Otherion slowly empties his lungs.
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
Rileos takes a sip of his water.
Valynn smiles at Otherion.
You ask Otherion, "We can certainly see what we can do. Though I imagine most here will be heading to the vigil after we depart from Milene's, so it may be something we would need to arrange for after?"
Gwenddolyn says, "Well that may be the case because of what has been happening with Rutilor."
Miskton says to Otherion, "I would love to be able to go back and take another look, but sadly have the same issue."
Knight Penitent Briaen just arrived.
Ezerak asks Otherion, "What do you require? Moon Mages to assist?"
Gwenddolyn says, "Rutilor is a protect of the gods."
Elurora quickly salutes Briaen by bringing two fingers to her brow.
Darkewolff whispers something to Onara.
Rileos nods to Briaen.
Otherion says to you, "Mmm, I have selected a time where the moons will be most cooperative, in three andaen."
Darkewolff smiles.
Briaen gives a gracious nod.
You nod to Otherion.
You smile at Otherion.
You nod politely to Briaen.
Otherion bows to Miskton.
Kethrai bows to Briaen.
Briaen's body is soaked.
Valynn nods to Briaen.
Onara grins at Darkewolff, her dimples flashing into view.
Madigan takes a sip of his coffee.
Waydren rummages about his person, looking for something.
Onara takes a sip of her brandy.
Avrenka asks Otherion, "You are looking for moon mages who have not yet walked the ways?"
Briaen softly says to you, "Apologies for the late entrance."
Otherion says to Avrenka, "They need not be moon mages."
Kethrai whispers something to Otherion.
Onara nods to Darkewolff.
Otherion smiles at Kethrai.
Otherion bows to Kethrai.
You say to Briaen, "No apology necessary. We are always happy to have more minds present for discussion."
Tirost asks Otherion, "Is there something you believe a visit to the Observatory will reveal?"
Otherion ponders.
Waydren gets a small lump of soulstone from inside an eddy of muted sylvan light trapped in a cage of barbed dragonwood arrows.
Waydren offers Madigan a small lump of soulstone.
Madigan accepts Waydren's lump of soulstone.
Miskton says, "If there's something happening on an extraplanar level, perhaps we'd see signs of it."
Otherion says to Tirost, "It provides an unique perspective that may allow us to perceive things we otherwise would not be privy to."
Gwenddolyn says, "I think a visit there would be something we should research."
Madigan smiles at Waydren.
Madigan shakes Waydren's hand.
Waydren grins at Madigan.
Otherion nods to Miskton.
Waydren just hugged Madigan.
Madigan puts his soulstone in his traveler's pack.
Tirost nods to Otherion.
[General] Your mind hears Jaelia thinking, "I hope you were able or are able to make Lady Ayrell's discussion, or if not, please follow up on it later. It is important, and if it seems confusing, there are people who can better summerize or help where some of these things are Drawn. "
Madigan smiles warmly.
Avrenka says, "One can view other Planes from there ..."
Kethrai says, "It may be useful to have as diverse a group as possible. See if non-Lunar practitioners see something different."
Otherion nods to Avrenka.
Ezerak nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.
Briaen touches the kyanite stones on his gwethdesuan.
Tirost says to Otherion, "I will certainly go if you can provide the means to get there."
Waydren chuckles.
You nod at Kethrai, in complete agreement with his views.
Madigan grunts at Waydren.
Otherion gives Tirost a measured bow, deepening it ever so slightly.
Tirost smiles at Briaen.
Otherion says to Tirost, "I can."
Avrenka says, "If the Planar Void is weakening, then other Planes will be affected like ours ... tho I'm not sure what a mana storm looks like in other Planes."
Tirost nods to Otherion.
Elurora takes a sip of her milk.
[General] Your mind hears Jaelia thinking, "In the meantime - the Vigil specifically for Peri'el and Phelim for some of these reasons will begin in about 20 rois, at Phelims Altar in Damaris' Altar in Xings high temple, but we will make sure everyone has time to get here."
You say, "I am, of course, willing to assist in any way that I can."
You nod to Otherion.
Rileos takes a sip of his water.
Otherion gives you a measured bow, deepening it ever so slightly to display additional respect.
Sofina leans on Malorna.
Yvela says, "My own research leads me to believe that some god-like force is at play. Whether that force has a will behind it, I couldn't say. But planar laws are being changed brutally, and the streams are separating like oil and water, becoming sterile."
Tirost frowns.
Elurora gazes thoughtfully at Yvela.
You frown.
Otherion observes Yvela with fascination.
Malorna leans on Sofina.
Belzor says, "L yvel."
Avrenka pokes Belzor in the ribs.
You ask Yvela, "That is a view I have not heard yet. Have you any additional thoughts on it?"
Waydren says to Yvela, "More interlopers, as before but left behind. A new predator on the field."
Otherion takes a sip of his tea.
Madigan gestures.
Yvela nods.
Waydren nods to Yvela.
Gwenddolyn says, "Awhile back Miskton spoke of visions that led me to believe they were about the Nomads of the Arid Steppe, and since Nera was important in the observatory, it should be considered."
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Xionara clutches her throat, eyes wide with shock.
You say, "I suppose, though, that it makes sense. If it potentially threatens the planes and the Immortals, it would have to be a god-like power."
You ponder.
Tirost asks Yvela, "What do you mean by streams?"
Dantia gives a slight nod.
Xionara mutters something into the air about yes yes laugh.
Sofina gets a plump strawberry from inside a small sack.
Sofina feeds some plump strawberry to Malorna.
Xionara hiccups.
Malorna drools.
Ezerak nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Yvela says, "It may well be a plan that's been set in motion by some.. deity or deity-like entity. A vy for power, maybe."
Tirost nods to Yvela.
Briaen nods at Yvela, obviously agreeing with her views.
Tirost glances at you.
Yvela says, "Mana streams."
Yvela nods to Tirost.
Xionara frowns.
Avrenka asks Yvela, "What do you mean by streams separating like water and oil?"
Tirost quietly says, "The most frightening of all posibilities."
You nod to Yvela.
Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.
Onara leans against a bar.
Darkewolff smiles at Onara.
You nod at Tirost, in complete agreement with his views.
Onara inhales deeply of the drink.
Darkewolff takes a bite of the cupcake.
Onara winks at Darkewolff.
Yvela says, "Less inclined to mix with one another."
Darkewolff takes a bite of the cupcake.
Malorna nods to Sofina.
Yvela nods to Avrenka.
Kethrai frowns.
Darkewolff grins slowly.
Tirost gazes at Briaen.
Gwenddolyn says, "The world has been without magic more than once, and it clearly did not solve the issue if history is repeating itself."
Madigan gestures.
Karthor says, "Sounds a bit like a defense mechanism. The world sort of tryin' to shut down rampant sorcery since folks won't just stop."
Illiya says, "That would make sense, as mixing magic has become more difficult lately."
Belzor quietly says to himself, "So the histories were true."
Gwenddolyn says, "They had the guilds divided magic for a reason."
You ask Dantia, "Would you be willing to elaborate on what you said earlier, please?"
Gwenddolyn says, "To prevent sorcery."
A pained expression crosses Tirost's face.
Elurora rubs her head.
You smile at Dantia.
Elurora gazes upward.
Kethrai says, "There's... without magic, and there's without mana. Those are two very different things."
Dantia nods to you.
Xionara nods to Malorna.
Dantia says, "As I previously mentioned, Empaths have determined that there is a significant pressure being applied to Life magic, such that the cycle of life and death itself is under threat. This speaks to me of a threat that is beyond a physical entity, and of something instead that threatens us at such a level that it bears on our process of life."
Yvela ponders.
Gwenddolyn says, "Magic cannot function without mana."
Tirost lets out a long, contemplative breath.
Avrenka says, "Sorcery does not weaken the Bulwark ... Void, and opening conduits to the Void does."
Gwenddolyn says, "Mana exists without magic."
Kethrai nods to Gwenddolyn.
Waydren points at Dantia.
You nod to Dantia.
Waydren says, "She speaks."
Elurora asks Avrenka, "Are you sure about that?"
Dantia smiles at Waydren.
Dantia says, "What further concerns me is that we've seen this happen once, with the Alterer Keishalae. She walked the Starry Road and then somehow -came back- to offer her services again. When asked the cost, she said she would work in return for either your favors or your death then and there. She spoke as it she needed to feed death into the process to support her living."
Valynn clears her throat.
Kethrai says, "More to the point -- nothing can function without mana. If our world were to become devoid of Life mana, life itself would cease."
You nod at Dantia, in complete agreement with her views.
Otherion observes Dantia with fascination.
Rileos puts his almanac in his hunting pack.
Karthor says, "Hm, entropy run amok."
Karthor twitches.
Valynn gazes thoughtfully at Dantia.
Xionara's ears droop for a moment.
Xionara takes a sip of her absinthe.
Dantia says, "That was a very dramatic and unexpected violation of the cycle of life and death as we know it."
Belzor asks, "What kind of heresy is ths?"
Kethrai nods to Dantia.
Onara takes a sip of her brandy.
You say to Dantia, "Yes, that is an excellent point. I had nearly forgotten about that, though how, I cannot imagine."
Waydren says to Belzor, "The materially observed kind."
Dantia says, "So my concerns here move beyond that of the World Dragon awakening or Dragon Priest macchinations, and into the realm of something greater than all of us, mortals, the Immortals, demons, monsters... bearing down on our "natural" processes."
Avrenka says, "Perhaps she had turned to necromancy to cheat death."
Dantia says, "Although, like you all, I am no closer to an answer than I was before wild magic took hold."
Dantia chuckles.
Otherion strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.
Dantia nods to you.
Dantia says to you, "Thank you for the floor."
You say to Dantia, "Your theory is rather in line with the direction of my own thoughts, so I am inclined to agree wholeheartedly."
Karthor asks, "Wasn't she s'posed to be one o' those rare "true sorcerers"?"
Darkewolff smirks to himself.
Karthor scratches his head.
Kethrai says, "Descent into undeath is... hard to mistake for anything else."
You nod politely to Dantia.
Kethrai says, "I've only seen the one Lich, and I think I could pick out another if I saw it."
You feel as if you've gained attention. It is not a comfortable feeling.
Illiya blinks.
Rileos frowns.
Gwenddolyn says, "Oh oh."
Otherion's large eyes drift, scanning the area with an intense yet aimless gaze.
You shift your weight.
Rileos guzzles down some of his water and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve.
Elurora casually observes the area.
Valynn casually observes the area.
Rileos grasps his chin roughly and jerks it to the side. You hear a loud pop and see him visibly relax.
Elurora searches around for a moment.
Miskton rubs his neck.
Kethrai lays his ears back in alarm, gazing around warily.
You quietly say, "Hmm..."
Tirost nods to Briaen.
Dantia says, "Yes, she took to calling herself a True Sorcerer of the Shrew, if I remember correctly."
Avrenka says to Elurora, "And to answer your question ... my research would say that the Voidspell started this all, then Lyras' conduit into Maelshyve amplified things ... and now we're at a breaking point."
Gwenddolyn says, "We have caught the attention of something..."
Rileos nods to Dantia.
(Yvela glances around with a slight frown.)
Gwenddolyn says, "Greater than us."
Karthor asks Kethrai, "Oy, bein' able to stare directly at the thing posin' as its life essence helps, eh?"
Dantia gazes upward.
Karthor grins at Kethrai.
Tirost puts his reserve in his watersilk bag.
Rileos says to Dantia, "Made me think Kerenhappuch threw her back, I imagine the Immortals -can-."
Ezerak ponders.
You quietly say, "Perhaps we are on to something..."
Dantia joins Madigan's group.
Elurora puts her milk in her square lunchbox.
Tirost joins Madigan's group.
Waydren raises an eyebrow in Madigan's direction.
Valynn joins Madigan's group.
Rileos joins Madigan's group.
Kethrai joins Madigan's group.
Tirost moves over to guard Yvela.
Yvela smiles at Tirost.
Rileos flourishes his Imperial spear about in a butterfly pattern.
Miskton inhales deeply of the drink.

Kethrai says, "It seemed to happen shortly after Dantia was describing her theory..."
Darkewolff smiles.
You say, "Because of my own concerns regarding the safety and - perhaps we will even say the balance - of the Immortals, I would urge everyone who can attend Jaelia's vigil this evening to do so."
