You trace the outline of each of the rudimentary runes etched along a twisted darkstone shamanic staff with a large molten-core diamond at its head. As your finger touches each of the carvings, they light up in a fiery glow. Holding the shamanic staff aloft, you watch as it weeps droplets of boiling lava that pool before you. A hyena-shaped figure forms within the pool, extruding and extending itself until it stretches at least forty hands high. The beast looks at you with fiery eyes and yawns, its maw dripping droplets of lava as its body hardens into a series of rigid plates.

The golem composed of still-cooling lava is shaped into the sinewy form of an overgrown hyena. Roughly the size of a dire bear, it stands approximately thirty hands high, and forty long. The construct has a lengthy jaw filled with formidable teeth that still spread droplets of lava from each jagged tip. Predatory eyes flashing with burning embers flicker thirstily like a healthy flame, matching crude runes inscribed along its spine.
