Smirk
Role-playing command to smirk; special usage for Thieves to assess their confidence and in-town status.
SMIRK

You see: You smirk.
Others see: <Player> smirks.

SMIRK <self>
You see: You smirk to yourself.
Others see: <Player> smirks to her/himself.

SMIRK <player>
You see: You smirk at <Player>.
Target sees: <Player> smirks at you.

Usage for Thieves

Possible results of the smirk <self> command for Thieves are below:

  • Out of Town, average confidence
You smirk to yourself, but can only muster up average confidence.
You don't take any extra comfort in this unfamiliar territory.
  • Out of Town, good confidence
  • Out of Town, bad confidence
  • In town, average confidence
You smirk to yourself, but can only muster up average confidence.
Your surroundings fit your talents perfectly.
  • In town, good confidence
  • In town, bad confidence

LIST OF CONFIDENCE MESSAGES, IN ORDER, FOR THIEVES:

  • You attempt to smirk to yourself, but don't see how things could get any worse. (-5)
  • You smirk to yourself, but you know you aren't fooling anyone. (-4)
  • You smirk to yourself, but cannot shake the thoughts of your recent screw-ups. (-3)
  • You smirk to yourself, but have to force it. (-2)
