Common attributes

Type

The type of the crafting material. Possible values are:

  • alchemy
  • bone
  • cloth
  • leather
  • metal
  • stone
  • wood

Hardness

The numerical hardness of the material. Used with bone, metal, stone, and wood materials.

Durability

The numerical durability of the material. Used with all crafting materials.

Workability

The numerical workability of the material. Used with all crafting materials.

Electrical

The numerical electrical resistance of the material. Used with bone, cloth, leather, and metal materials.

Thermal

The numerical thermal resistance of the material. Used with bone, cloth, leather, and metal materials.

Physical

The numerical physical resistance of the material. Used with bone, cloth, leather, and metal materials.

Ductility

The numerical ductility of the material. Used with metal materials

Stiffness

The numerical stiffness of the material. Used with wood materials.

Shortbow

The numerical shortbow affinity of the material. Used with wood materials.

Longbow

The numerical longbow affinity of the material. Used with wood materials.

Composite

The numerical composite bow affinity of the material. Used with wood materials.

Capacity

The numerical capacity of the material. Used with bone, cloth, leather, metal, stone, and wood materials.

Density

The numerical density of the material. Used with bone, cloth, leather, metal, stone, and wood materials.

Note: There is a special calculation required for wood density.

Potency

The numerical potency of the material. Used with alchemy materials.

Efficacy

The numerical efficacy of the material. Used with alchemy materials.

Solubility

The numerical solubility of the material. Used with alchemy materials.

Toxicity

The numerical toxicity of the material. Used with alchemy materials.

Size

Deprecated. The numerical size (number of pieces) contained within an item. Used with bone and leather materials.

Value

The numerical value in Kronars for a 99 quality volume of the material. Used with all crafting materials.

Value is calculated by dividing the appraised price in Kronars and dividing by the number of volumes of the material. Make sure to follow the Elanthipedia standard of putting commas in the values. For example, "75,000".

Source

This property is optionally used to describe the material's source. The most common value would include "-" (none). For leather you should indicate the skinned creature as a source, and for metal or stone you should indicate the rock formation type.

  • "-" = none, the most common Source

In the case of a special source avoid ambiguous terms such as "Unique". Instead use "Quest", "Festival", "Auction" or combination.

  • auction = auction only
  • festival = festival specific materials such as smokewood sold at Hollow Eve
  • quest = quest only, including microtrans quests

Combined terms should be a comma separated list in alphabetical order, for example, "Auction, Festival".

  • auction, quest

Rarity

The rarity of the crafting material. Used with all crafting materials. Possible values include:

  • c = common
  • u = uncommon
  • r = rare
  • vr = very rare
  • s = special. Denote the Source for special rarity (e.g. Quest, Festival)

Category

This template automatically includes the article in Category:Crafting materials, unless category= is set to "-".
