Enchant Capacity acts as a cap for Sigil Precision, which effectively becomes the "Hardness" stat for Enchantments. Every Enchantment will make use of the Precision stat in a different way.

So Tyrium has a low enchantment capacity of 4. It will accept only some enchantments, and they won't be very potent even if you use ultra precise sigils.

Niniam has a higher enchantment capacity of 60. So more enchantments will work on it, and it'll make full use of sigils up to 60 precision.

For example, a Flare Enchantment would proc more often and for more damage and have more durability as its precision rises. And a Glamour enchantment would gain new verbs and have higher number of charges as its precision rises.

The Enchantment capacity numbers will be changing a little as we tweak things, and still need to be enabled for some materials.

Non-material based items will act like they have about 10 or 20 enchantment capacity base. There just isn't any way to determine where it should be. So if you buy a festival item with a Enchantment-1 flare it'll be fine. When it expires you can just replace it with another E-1 flare, or recharge it. Higher E-#s we'll be more careful to include an underlying material on the item.
