NEWS article 5-36:

Dateline 7/23/2010: ASSASSINS AND CONSENT

The Assassins game allows people to engage in consentual anonymous slaughter among themselves. However, there are a few policy guidelines that go along with this game.

CONSENT FOR THE ASSASSIN

The assassin is granted consent on his target for as long as it is his target. If his target kills him instead, he is no longer assigned to that target and thus no longer has consent.

CONSENT FOR THE TARGET

Any player can use ASSASSIN INVESTIGATE once per day to check to see if a given assassin is targeting him. If ASSASSIN INVESTIGATE gives a positive ID on the person targeting you, you are granted consent for as long as he is targeting you.

LOSING CONSENT

If an assassin kills his target, OR his target kills him, the contract is voided. Because of this, if either the assassin or the target die at the other's hands, all consent between the two of them related to Assassins is considered void as well.

SPOUSES AND CONSENT

Spouses are NOT granted consent against their significant other's target OR assassin. The individual participants paired against each other are the *only* people granted consent by the Assassins game.

NON-VIOLENT AID

As normal, other players can provide non-violent aid to help either the assassin or his target. These actions are not under any special consent rules - Engaging in another person's combat grants consent as per normal consent rules.
