This page is reserved for commentary on the new Sorcerous Backlash system.

This is not an official page on which to report bugs; it is intended to be a central list for the convenience of GM staff and the DR community. To report a bug, please ASSIST or use the BUG command in-game, or post on the appropriate DR message board.

When you make an entry below, please include a timestamp --~~~~ (the squiggly lines button in the command bar just above the edit window) just like you would on a talk page.

If/when an issue is resolved, please go back and strikethrough your entry by enclosing it with <s> and </s> to indicate the issue has been closed. Please keep the main page's list concise. Long discussions may go on the talk page.

Bugs

An area for outright mechanical issues.

Feedback

This area is for opinions on the severity and scope of the new system. Please keep comments constructive, as overly negative posts will be removed.

Anecdotes

I'm adding an anecdote here since I don't see an appropriate place to put this and the randomization can make it difficult to document statistically reliable information.

I've had one magical inert backlash today, and it lasted 10 minutes. If you find yourself in a magically dependent situation, beware - you lose all ability to use magic, perceive, or any related abilities, and your attunement remain locked at 0% --BEYONDDISBELIEF (talk) 11:11, 12 August 2016 (CDT)

The backlash that makes you unconscious will leave you unconscious for 5 full minutes. WHILE having a Very Bad internal head bleeder and complete paralysis of the body.

Be sure to have enough stamina to survive 5 minutes of v. bad bleeding and being effectively prevented from spellcasting!

Currently, I'm at about 25~35% chance of backlash from RESEARCH SORCERY. --BEYONDDISBELIEF (talk) 13:14, 13 August 2016 (CDT)
