Treasure System Updates · on 11/30/2015 11:01 AM CST 63
Over the last week and a half, many of you may have noticed some differences in the items dropping from creatures. These differences have been a part of updating treasure bins to house items that play with our crafting systems. For the most part, we've finished these updates
  • Herbs are updated to new system plants that can be used with alchemy.
  • Mortar is being updated to new system.
  • Pestle is being updated to new system.
  • Old forging materials are being converted to new system materials of similar quality and size.
  • Broken (bad spell) runestones are being removed and replaced with an appropriately tiered spell.
  • New rare runestones with rare spells AND rare materials added to the higher end treasure bins.
  • Thread replaced with new system thread of appropriate quality.
  • Glue replaced with new system wood glue same quality as found in society hall.
  • Removal of "a hilt" which is not compatible with new system forging.
  • Additions of flask of oil, tanning lotion, a hairbrush, and a regular mirror.

Nothing about these updates in any way touches treasure maps. These changes did not alter the rate of drops on anything, nor the rate at which you have the chance to get something from one of our feeder bins, where more special items are kept. No rates were changed for diras, fragments, cards, scrolls, or anything else not directly mentioned. I REPEAT, NO DROP RATES WERE ALTERED, FUDGED, CHANGED, ADJUSTED, FIDDLED WITH, CALIBRATED, FINE-TUNED, MODIFIED, AMENDED, REWORKED, REVAMPED, UPDATED, or any other synonym. Seriously. Completely serious. Not joking.

As is normal with these type of drops, you might see them in creature boxes.

TL;DR Drop rates didn't change. Profiles for old things got updated. It's not a bug that you cannot eat the herbs you found on a goblin.

Enjoy!
