Mauriga

Seated in a chair with a mortar and pestle in her lap, Mauriga smiles at you, her eyes crinkled with lines that come from knowing both great joy and great pain. The musty scent of herbs clings to her, possibly coming from the way she dusts her hands off on her breeches or shirt every time she finishes working with something. A garland of dried sirese hangs around her neck, and her flat, narrow face is lively with expression.
