The decision [to have ALIGN be net -15% penalty] was based on the concern that the Cleric spellbooks (and communes) were becoming too broadly powerful and they need something to throttle this that preferably doesn't involve flat out removing or nerfing spells. A secondary consideration is that Cleric align is meant to be pretty easy to switch as needed, along with the existence of SAP in the Cleric spellbooks. | |
