Shards of light glint on metallic inlays between the panels of expensive woods which line the walls of the shop. Marble tiles and varnished flagstones spread across the floor, the surface polished to a glassy smoothness resembling a deep, still lagoon. The elegant proprietor, Dulcinara, glides about the store with a natural grace, quietly demonstrating the quality of her wares to the monied folk who travel from afar to seek out her architectural expertise.
