Alright, here goes :)

>Issue 1 - Gems with a quality >= medium are shattering with a single minimum prep CG. Below are three examples of this:

There has always been a chance of a gem shattering when you attempt to clarify it. However, there was a bug in the code that was making the chance higher based on the quality of the gem. Fixed!

>>Issue 2 - Some substances do not show a gem quality. I've particularly seen this with silver/gold/platinum/etc. bar/nugget/etc.

Solid metals have never been able to be clarified, so this is 'working as intended' :).

>>Issue 3 - Stones do not increase in value with a CG nor give a gem quality with a PG. I do not know if they did so before, but they are gems. So this should work, no?

I don't think these worked before, either. Without making any sort of official statement (because I'm ignorant on any specifics), it seems like their magical nature might prevent normal means from clarifying them.

>>Issue 4 - Some gems don't show any upgrade in quality upon a CG even with high level CG; though they do show an increase in value.

The quality that you see when you cast CG is a range rather than a specific quantitative value. The only explicit value you'll be able to see is 'perfect'. What happened for you was that the gem was right on the bottom range of 'low', and is now on the top range of low.

>>*I think gem quality should determine if the gem shatters, not 2 clarifies = instant shatter.

>>*The ability to continually clarify a gem until its up to a certain quality level.

This is something I will discuss with GM Bursaal. Glad you're enjoying the new system! And thank you very much for your feedback.
