Life and Holy are more incompatible than normal. They like being mixed less than the other combinations. However, any combination of two mana types is inherantly unstable. Be it a sorcery which deliberately seeks to mix 2 types or a guilded member using another guild's spell where the two guilds do not share a mana type. There is no free pass for being Elemental or Lunar attuned when it comes to the danger of using spells of a different type so far as I'm aware.
