A typical crafter will only have 12 slots to invest between 75 techniques (between all 3 disciplines). It is expected that if someone takes a career in weaponsmithing, they'll likely be good at making most of the weapons available by the time they have 900 ranks. But then again, a majority of our players never get to 900 ranks, and so most people will not be able to mastercraft all items.

The lists you have seen published are all with steel variants too. Templates can be up to TWICE as hard if using a metal with a low workability, and that is where knowing the technique will determine if its even worth trying. Just some things to consider. I'm not worried about people becoming masters of everything from what I've seen so far.
