| Look: | Artfully dyed silk gauze is stretched taut over a thin wire structure that defines the sculpted shape of the wings. A warm golden-brown provides a muted background for vibrant swirls and splashes of color. The tips are a deep violet-red streaked with pale pink. More violet-red traces the scalloped bands of purple and lilac decorating the edges of the wings. Iridescent teal-blue ringed with cream and black form large eyespots just above the long curled tails. |
