end-blown plains flute of grey khor'vela | |
---|---|
Look: | Despite the polishing of the khor'vela wood, tiny mottled white animal bones are clearly visible within the grain of the grey wood. Rather than try to hide this, the artisan has ensured that these bone bits have also been polished so that they lend a rather beautiful but macabre sparkle to the chambers of the instrument. A shaped wolf of anli, cut in a way to reveal the wood's golden hue, has been lashed to the top chamber leaving a narrow channel through which air passes to the lower chamber. |
