Witchery (1)
[Witchery, The Tunnel] The mud walls of the tunnel have been painted grey to resemble stone and curve back upon themselves like a great snake. Small windows in the walls provide glimpses of other customers moving through the adjoining passages. You also see a tunnel opening. Obvious exits: west.
[Witchery, The Den] The mud tunnel ends here as it widens into a small dark chamber. A barren pallet rests to one side, and a small, unlit firepit is nearby. Obvious exits: east.
>l on pal On the barren pallet you see a small desiccated monkey paw, a furry orange and black tail and a dark and misshapen squid tentacle.
>l paw The skin of the paw has drawn so tight that you can see the skeletal bones pressing against it. The paw itself appears to be reaching out in a clawing gesture. >l tail Alternating orange and black stripes repeat along the length of the tail, which appears to have been removed from a large cat. >l tent Curving back and forth along its length, the tentacle looks like a bumpy snake.
>l on firepit
On the unlit firepit you see a charred and blackened chameleon, a pale bone bowl with a jagged lip and an emaciated snake head hanging from rotting sinew.
>l cham
Faint cracks and a stiff texture are likely the result of being subjected to a prolonged flame.
>l bowl
The top of a skull has been broken away to form a crude bowl. A dark crimson substance appears to have dried at the base of the device.
>l head
Dry and flaking scales occasionally fall from the preserved snake head. The mouth of the reptile is open, displaying long, wicked fangs.
