Alteration/Spell prep

PREPARE /LIST shows your available spell preps. PREPARE /DEFAULT toggles the display of your guild’s default prep. PREPARE /SHIFT cycles through custom options.

When designing your custom spell prep, you can choose between an alternate spell prep and a silent prep. (You must have the relevant magical feats to use a custom spell prep.)

General Rules

Messaging has a maximum length of 200 characters (including punctuation and spacing). Existing preps average 100 characters.

The messaging must make sense regardless of what room you are in (indoors/outdoors, time of day, lighting conditions, weather, etc.).

The messaging cannot imply the involvement of the gods, other people, or creatures. (Any references to creatures must clearly indicate that they are illusory.)

The messaging can include minor magical effects.

Alternate Preps

For an alternate prep, include the following messaging:

• what you see
• what the room sees when you are not hidden
• what the room sees when you are hidden (usually shorter and less detailed)

Silent Preps

Silent preps must be discreet — actions you could realistically conceal from others. Lights, loud noises, or conspicuous movement are not suitable for silent preps.

For a silent prep, include the following messaging:

• what the room sees when you are not hidden
