The entire rim of the indelible helm is edged with black onyx thorns, giving the impression of the regal lion surrounded by a thorny thicket. Each of the creature's eyes are set with seven-pointed star-shaped sapphires, further enhanced by the golden mane that frames the lion's face. The initials 'G.
