You are Templar Maxilot MacPoshington of Elanthia, a Human. You have a square face, almond-shaped blue eyes and a classical nose. Your black hair is long and thick, and is worn in a tousled mass of locks that tumbles over your shoulders. You have fair skin and an athletic build. You are tall for a Human. You are an adult. You have a thin sparse mustache on your upper lip. You are in good shape.

You are wearing a round plum sipar with a raised bronze boss, some plate gauntlets, a darkstone great helm patterned with the visage of a snarling wolf, some blackened silver elbow spikes with ruby embellishments, some brass knuckles, a lumpy bundle, an oak-hafted halberd, a steel pike staff with a tempered finish, a wool cloak, a tailored tasia longcoat featuring carved brass buttons, an oath ring of polished green jade that holds captive a tiny hourglass, some slouchy knee-high boots with low heels, a pair of white gold earstuds, a blue linen sash embroidered with a green lion and a leather weapon harness.

My father is a wealthy land owner in a land far away. I am his only son.

Life was good, wanting for naught. I had all the best of everything. Wine, women...the best clothes. One morning, around noon, father came in, disturbing myself and a lovely young lady, and threw me out. He told me not to come back until I made something of myself. It twas not a good start to the day.

So, with nothing to my name but the clothing I wore, I headed down the road to face my destiny.

I came upon a town that had been ransacked by beasts of some sort. There were many armed individuals in the town inspecting the carnage. Some wore leather and looked like hill folk. Some wore garish clothing with the air crackling all around them. There were also the clerics kneeling over the dead. Many warrior types were also present. Some wearing mixed armor types, chain, brigandine, plate... The weapons were also impressive. The fighters that impressed me the greatest were the paladins.

I talked to one of them and asked how I, Maxilot, could also be so awe inspiring. Gravely, he said to me, "Tis not a glamorous job boy but if you must head to the Crossing paladin guild and tell Verika I sent you." So I did.

Now I am a paladin defending the people of the lands. I go where I'm told and fight for the good of our lands.
