The tea made from its bark is said to simulate the journey the spirit makes when the physical body dies.

It is also an ingredient found in samatak.

LOOK: The bright white petals of this brilliant oshu'mary flower have been surrounded by a beautiful set of blooming purple phofe flowers. A gleaming animite leopard with faceted ruby eyes clings to the stem of the flowers, its claws providing ample fastening to any garment.
