Game Helpfile

Syntax: LIE
Will cause you to lie down prone

Usage

Lying down changes your posture to prone. The ordinary room message is suppressed when the actor is hidden or invisible or the room suppresses messages. If you are already prone, the command reports that you are already lying down and does not send a message to the room.

Some furniture, fixtures and locations replace the ordinary result. A suitable bench, bed or similar surface may let you lie on it, while an unsupported target does not create a general item interaction. The exact wording and any capacity restrictions belong to that surface. Cramped spaces can refuse the action, and water or other special locations may replace or prevent the ordinary result.

LIE can be used while grappled without a contest. It changes only your own posture; it does not force the other participant prone.
