Description

Close cousin to to the glutinous lipopod, this gelapod has risen slightly higher on the evolutionary ladder. Carnivorous by nature, it has developed a series of sharp, razor-like teeth, which effectively shred the gelapod's victims. Primitive eyes on short stalks protruding from either side of its gelatinous forehead give it a deceptively docile appearance, like that of a slug. Surviving predominantly in still, brackish waters, it will often infiltrate the moats and streams surrounding abandoned castles. Despite a lack of vocal cords, the gelapod manages to emit a primitive, pulsing, thumping sound. It does this by manipulating several small portions of its body into air pockets, which it then squeezes with a kind of shivering motion.
