| HE is not inherently themed around Halloween, but since we tend not to remove prior merchants (Unless there are issues with them) and instead expand it each year with new ones, I can see how the early theme still bleeds through (And the first year was very weighted towards Halloween and to a lesser degree clerical and moon mage type items).
As mentioned earlier in this thread, this year's lead up events and theme (Steampunk Lite) had nothing to do with Halloween whatsoever, and there are always a large number of shops that are totally off-theme. Just speaking of the six or so shop I've done in the last two years only 2-3 of them were really on theme at all (Two with light moon mage/clerical themes and one steampunk) and that's not even factoring in that the off theme shops (for me) tend to be vastly larger. | |
