>>I don't hate the idea of restrictions on creation, I hate the idea of nonsensical timers. If "focused real hard" is the reason, why doesn't it affect anything else that requires focus? I just want to see better justification if there must be a creation timer.

It's unfair and a little insulting to insist that the story logic I've written is nonsensical when you either do not understand what it is, or insist on misrepresenting it.

This is not "Wow I'm tired after that I need some coffee," it's depicted as a transcendent act of will. It's writing the novel that breaks hearts, or standing on stage and singing from your soul in a moment of pure catharsis. You get up in the morning just fine, but unless you are some kind of god you cannot create in such a fashion day in and day out. The well of Human experience can run dry.

I'm totally OK if you think that's corny or if you don't like the timer for gameplay reasons, but I will defend the concept as a valid depiction of the creative process.
