Syntax
- RING <TARGET>
- Attempts to ring a person, creature or object. Most people and ordinary objects cannot be rung, while an object with its own behavior may produce a special result.
- RING BELL
- Rings a bell in the room. The result depends on the particular bell and its location. At a Carousel service desk, it requests that vault belongings be transferred to that location; at some Lorethew Mentor Society locations, it calls for an available mentor.
Carousel transfer bell
After the bell rings at a Carousel service desk, the clerk reports one of several results: the transfer has started, the belongings are already in transit, the belongings are already at that Carousel, or there is nothing to transfer. If the vault at that location is empty, the clerk may also say so before reporting that the belongings are already there. See Vault transfers.
Notes
- Scripted objects can replace the generic refusal with their own messaging and mechanics. Some portable bells and chimes must be held or worn, while fixed bells may have location-specific uses.
