Note: The name Beren was lifted wholesale from J.R.R. Tolkien's ''Italic text''The Silmarillion''Italic text'', and is referenced in his Lord of the Rings saga. While the entire game and indeed the whole fictional genre of pseudo-medieval fantasy are heavily influenced by Tolkien, instances in which the author's work was plainly and directly stolen from have appeared in Dragonrealms. Some, like the character Beren and the secret mountain door in Zoluren that contained the exact same entrance riddle as did the Mines of Moria in ''Italic text''The Fellowship of the Ring''Italic text'', have been quietly removed from the game. |
