This bloodlock is a spellbook accessory used to secure a custom spellbook and make it lockable.

• The key that actuates this lock is: an amethyst-inset silver spellbook key.
  

Verbs

• RUB - You rub your finger over the chalky white stone inset just above the keyhole in the jadice flower bloodlock. Without warning, a small needle jabs out of the keyhole and pricks your finger. Blood begins to flow, tainting the color of the stone to a deep crimson hue. You strangely feel more attuned to the bloodlock.

Suddenly an amethyst-inset silver spellbook key pops out of the lock mechanism with a distinct *click*, landing in your left hand.

• PUT (on spellbook) - You attach one binding to either cover of the <cover description> spellbook. Suddenly the two halves begin to coil together like living vines over the front of the book, blossoming open to reveal the two halves of the amethyst jadice flower intermingled, locking the spellbook shut.

• UNLOCK (with key) - You insert an amethyst-inset silver spellbook key into the keyhole of the jadice flower bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A crimson flash emits from the chalky red stone set in the middle of the amethyst jadice flower as you turn the key. The mechanism chirps musically as it unlocks.

• LOCK (with key) - You insert an amethyst-inset silver spellbook key into the keyhole of the jadice flower bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A delicate violet shimmer swirls throughout the amethyst jadice flower as you turn the key. The mechanism chirps musically as it locks shut.
