The HANGBACK command sets you into a constant mode in which you attempt to immediately retreat from combat anytime an enemy engages you. This mode continues until you utilize HANGBACK STOP.

Special Note

It is largely discouraged to utilize this setting as you are far more likely to fail to hangback. Each failure incurs a roundtime.
Utilize RETREAT or DISENGAGE instead.

Syntax and messaging

  • HANGBACK:
You start trying to hang back to avoid combat.
  • HANGBACK (While already in hangback mode.)
You are already trying to hang back as much as you can.
To stop, type HANGBACK STOP.
  • HANGBACK STOP:
You stop trying to hang back.
