---|---|
Look: | Popular with the Wind Elf tribes, the plains flute is constructed with two chambers. The top, or slow, chamber is about the length of a clenched fist and acts as a secondary resonator which gives the flute its distinctive sound, while the longer bottom chamber has the whistle and six finger holes. A block, frequently carved in the shape of a totemic animal, tied to the top chamber has a narrow channel through which air passes to the lower chamber. |
